Let's play Mindtrap!
Solve the puzzle; if you get it right, you get to post the next one.
A young woman was invited to a party by a co-worker she didn't like. She decided to be polite and come by for a few minutes, rather than make things worse with her co-worker by rudely refusing, even though she'd been planning to enjoy the recent hot weather by going to the beach that day.
She went to the party, greeted her forcedly-friendly co-worker and other friends from work, quickly drank a cup of punch, and then headed off to the beach with her social obligations met.
The next day, a story in the paper said that everyone who had attended the party had mysteriously died by drinking poisoned punch, but the young lady was completely fine.
Why?

I believe:
The poison was in the ice cubes. The woman drank her punch quickly, leaving little to no time for the ice cubes to melt, thus any poison she ingested was not toxic. Everyone else, however, drank their drink slowly, the hot weather causing the ice cubes to melt faster than normal, thus the poison mixed with the punch and everyone else died.

I'd say the "sun is a star" thing is kind of pushing the semantics too far, but that's what these puzzles are all about. I know this one, actually-- the answer is that it's daylight out, but in the version I knew, it just said "There is no moonlight, and there is no artificial light of any kind."
