Ok, so i may be a little behind on this, but my husband and I went out yesterday and bought the first 5 issues of one of the buffy comics out there. This one starts with "The Long Way Home" and it picks up where the t.v. series left off. We both absolutely loved it (especially after being bummed about finishing off all the series on dvd), and we can't wait for #6 to come out. Anyone else been reading these?

You know, my husband is a whiz at finding these things, he was the one that found out about these comics, let me ask him and i'll let you know. Or the very least maybe i can get you the link of where he found them.

I've never been a comic book person... But I love Buffy and have thought about getting into the comic series, just because I know it is like a continuation of the TV series. I just haven't done it yet...

X0 Faith 0X I've never been a comic book person... But I love Buffy and have thought about getting into the comic series, just because I know it is like a continuation of the TV series. I just haven't done it yet... You should give them a shot, I'm not much of a comic book reader either, but I really enjoyed it. I can't wait for the next one to come out in September!

forgive me for not responding, i was checking the forums, but didn't keep track of the post, Sorry!
If I remember correctly, the first comic begins about a yearish (at least or maybe more). Most of the characters are all there (willow comes in around the 4th issue). They have set up this organized commando style operation in which most of the slayers all around the world are all working together (Zander is command central). I don't want to give too much away wink but if one is really curious, that wikipedia link i posted earlier has a brief description of the events of every issue (i think it did, if not it is real easy to find from there).
The art is really cool, they all are drawn to look like the actors, so you almost feel if your watching Buffy episodes again.

Wow, I just bought Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 08 - Issue 01 and I totally heart it!
I really can't wait to buy all the other issues!! mrgreen

I'm glad that you enjoyed it! They did a good job in this comic, can't wait until the one this month comes out. Hurry and catch up so we can talk about them, LOL!

No, it isn't. It was going good when I first got here (which wasn't too long ago). I'm guilty myself of not checking it often though. Either way, it is disappointing to not see responses to the things your post though.

Awwww - too bad really neutral Yeah, I'm guilty of the same thing also sweatdrop [but I also have no Internet at home, I was moving and I became the vice-captain of The Gaia Cannibal & Vampire Guild in the mean time + I was oh so between 2 jobs and some other things = all together = I had my head somewhere else also...] But yeah, hehe, I did (ok, a couple of weeks later but ok...) kinda answer this post! xp Ya didn't expect that one coming, huh?!? wink
