So, it seems as though our ship did not sail in DH. However, there were LOTS of times were I thought it would.

But anyways, what are your thoughts on the book? What are your thoughts on the, as some Harmonians call it, the crapepilogue?

I for one was a bit disappointed with the whole epilogue. I felt as though JK purposely wrote that to stop us Harmonians. However, we shall never stop supporting our ship, won't we? (=

I'm curious. What are your thoughts on the names of the new generation of Potter, Weasley, and Malfoy? I found it quite hilarious. I mean really, Scorpious? That boy will be humiliated at school..

Discuss!

I actually felt worse for Albus Severus...poor child. Yeah I REALLY didn't like the pairing writing in the book. I think it would've been a much better book if she had just left it to our imaginations...

When I first started the series, I was suprised to find that Rowling was a woman. Because then there would have been "obvious" pairings, unlike when done by a male... they usually don't go into things like romance (which made it much easier because there's no such thing as "canon" in those kinds of universe)

I was relieved to find no romance, so I can develop my own opinions... until GoF, OotP, and... sweet Lord, HBP.

You're right twin. It would have been the bright spot in every shippers day if nothing was implied or specified.

I knew that Harmony wouldn't happen in the last book, I'm just in love with the pairing. But still, when Harry said the dreaded 'S' word (sister), it was as if all hope left me. cry Ah well, we can still imagine that Harry andn Hermione were having a secret affair that was way more loving than Ron/Hermione or Harry/Ginny....okay, at least we still have fanfiction, right?

Well, there is always a bright side to everything.

1) That is pretty much the only time he ever used the word "I love" in the series and I'm happy it was Hermione he loves even as a sister (no more how unsibling-like they act around one another).

2) Didn't he "assumed" that Hermione felt the same way? We'll never know if Harry was Hermione first choice and settled for Ron or she always had a thing for Ron (no matter how horrid that sounds for us).

We're delusional (in a good way) and it doesn't matter how we interpret the books or the relationship between H/Hr. That's the freedom of reading books and something OBHWF need to understand: we don't all think alike.

And julliel, incest dear? I mean, we already have Ron/Ginny, but I think I want to stay in my deluded world where they overcome the sibling thing and shag each other senseless. wink

I think most people, even the non-harmony shippers, hated the epilogue. what a poorly written ending. I think the book would have ended perfectly with the last chapter. we really didn't need those few cheesy pages of Harry and Ginny's walking memorials I mean please...

I think that the epilouge was to just throw in everyone's faces (especially the Harmonians) the final pairings. But sice the crapilouge is so long after the final chapter you can just ignore it or do as glug glug and so many others on Portkey and write a OBHWF's divorce fic or even more scandalous make an affair!fic. That's what fanfiction is for. biggrin wink

I honestly thought that JK had some fanfiction contest that we weren't invited to join, and the winner got it featured in the epilogue. Honestly, the whole thing was like a very poorly written fic that served no purpose.

And the names! Oh that pissed me off more than anything else! "Let's name our son after Snape! After all, he loved my mum! I already married a girl who looks like her, so why not? In fact, let's name a child after ANYONE who loved mummy!" Honestly, marrying Ginny when she looks so much like Lily is defiantly a form of incest.

ChibiPenguinChan: Thats something that always scared me about the Orange Crush/ Choco ship. She looks pretty much exactly like Lily is described. Also aren't like all pureblood families related? That's even more wrong. Ginny looks like Lily and she's related to Harry. 11 toed kids anyone?

I wouldn't be suprised if she did do a OBHWF epilouge contest. It was definatly the kind of thing a 11 year old OBHWF shipper would write. But... even an 11 year old OBHWF shipper could come up with better names for the kids.

Who names their kid after someone who made their life a living hell? Snape tourtured Harry through 6 years of school and Dumbledore made Harry live with an abusive family. Why didn't he name a kid after someone who actually loved him? Like Sirius.

[COUGH] James Sirius Potter [/COUGH]

Harry ought to win the contest for naming his offspring after most of his dead parent figures. All he has left is Tonks and Lupin or will that honor go to Teddy, the future Harry Potter? stare

There's a running joke around the internet that Potter #4 will either be named Dobby Hedwig or Hedwig Dobby. ninja

I have spoken to dead on the subject of the epilogue so I have created one word to describe my hatred of it:

Absol-blood-idiotically-written-utly.
