One-word prompts, 3rd August-17th August (prose)

Deadline: This contest will be every two weeks, so Friday 17th August, 5:00 PM London Time (there are several websites that will give you world time zones).

The Rules (dun-dun-duuuuuuuuuun!!!):

I give you a word, you produce a piece of writing based on that word. It can be anything, just so long as it can be related to the word. It doesn't actually have to include that word. It must be 60-600 words long. It can be any number of paragraphs, conversation, anything. Oh, and also any meaning of the given word.

Writing must be original fiction (ie, not fanfiction), any genre is permitted. No graphic sex, swearing is permitted but must be partially blanked (eg. sh*t). Homosexuality is permitted. No text talk, please. You can post comments on entries here as well, but no flaming or spamming.

I look through my window in the dead of the night and I see the moon. I look out and there I see him my boyfriend, we’ve been going out for two years. My name is Max by the way. My boyfriend is Charlie. I found out that I was gay in the ninth grade. I was so scared to tell anyone, especially my friends and family. There was one friend in particular whom I couldn’t tell that I was gay. Yep you guess it. It was Charlie. I couldn’t tell him he just doesn’t like me like that I told myself.

A week later I came out to my friends and family. I was surprised when they all comforted and accepted me. Even Charlie comforted me too. I know being gay isn’t right but to me being with Charlie just felt real. Inviting. Right.

So anyways weeks later we were in school and Charlie came up to me and asked me out. I looked at him. “Are you trying to pull a prank on me or are you really wanting to go out with me?” I asked.

“I actually wanted to really go out with you, but since you don’t seem to….”
“No, that wasn’t what I meant. I would love to go out with you Charlie.” I said.

Charlie smiled as I smiled back, and that was the start of our relationship.
