I was curious to know if anybody enjoyed VG Music. Yesterday I was playing Corridors of Time(Also known as The Kingdom of Zeal Theme) from the Chrono Trigger OST. I then realized that I wanted to metalize it (Giving it a heavy distortion guitar treatment, thus making it Metal). It's one of my favourite VG themes of all time. I was also considering doing a cover of a Akuma's Street Fighter Alpha theme.
Has anyone else here ever attempted to play VG music?

Wait.....yes! I hear it! 0.0 xd
Well, the closest I've come is performing the guitar part to "Rock the Dragon", one of the intros to DBZ. I believed it's also used in the Budokai games. It was tons of fun ^^

Heh, I'm still a Metalhead when it comes to game soundtracks. I absolutely adore The Darkness's soundtrack, as well as Painkiller's.
However, I also enjoy Medieval II: Total War's soundtrack, especially the battle songs.
Don't forget the classics in Doom 1. I used to have a good tab of E1M1.

I envy you just for having Medieval II: Total War, my computer's video card can't handle that game. I wanted it so badly after becoming addicted to the first one.

I tend to play the Kakariko Village theme from Zelda: OoT on my acoustic.
Nothing great, nothing too hard really... except I'm a lefty and I have a right handed acoustic. Meaning it's all upside down.
I also like to play the Gerudo Valley theme on it, as well.

I'm more partial to movie scores...I finally mastered the main theme from the "Halloween" movies last night on guitar...pretty easy when you get the picking pattern speed down, simplistic, but so cool and evil sounding. xd

The first song I learned to play was final fantasy IX's Dahli village BG music. Currently Im working on the final fantasy VII intro music. I also worked out the Kokiri forest music from legend of Zelda ocarina of time. 3nodding

That genre's not on the PC (Yes yes, I know The Darkness is a console exclusive but I do have a 360 for the other shooters that don't come on the PC).

Me and some of my harp friends are trying to arrange the Super Mario Brothers theme for harp duet. 3nodding If it works well, we may write variations.
