So what do you guys think of Blizz announcing The new expansion? I was at the official site and it looks pretty sweet! I just think its kinda sudden since Outland isnt even a year old yet.

Don't expect LK to be released till late 08-09. Outland will be plenty old by then and most people will be far enough for an upgrade by then.
Everyone call dibs on Death Knight class leader for your guilds. wink

I'm quitting WoW when it's released. Personnally I'm mad because of it. As a guild leader on top of that. We're just gearing and getting into Kara and then they throw this at us. Hot bucket of BS. Blizz will do anything for money, not think about how it'll ruin the game.
Just look what happened to EQ when they came out with all their fancy-smancy expansions.
Good Riddance WoW once they ruin it with the SECOND expansion.

I run a casual guild, where people are more focused on the other players and building relationships between them rather than game content. This will build the strongest guild, no one is selfish and focused only on gear for themselves, everyone helps out and if a piece drops that more than one person can use, the first thought isn't "Oh I can" it's "Well, he/she could really use this piece."
What ticks me off the most is the level cap going up. I'm here and about to have my third 70, when this comes out I'm going to have to level all three, and their professions mind you, back up to meet the level cap, as well as re-gearing all of them.
I think that if they HAVE to come out with an expansion, bring out the new gear and dungeons but leave the level cap the same.
GG Blizz.

GG Blizz. I sympathize with you, I feel the exact same way. This expansion is retarded, they should've simply made it another patch, raising the level cap to 80 is going to be a pain in the a** and even if there isn't a huge jump, how can level 80 gear NOT be as good as level 70 epics? I mean, that just makes no sense. Besides, Blizz will probably make deathknights retardedly overpowered to try and hook people on the hero class idea and everyone will end up hating it.

You know... Blizzard already SAID in an interview that they wanted a new exapansion every year.
BUT, as we all know Blizzard games take a hell of a long tome to come out.
AND people were complaining their asses off that they were bored at 70.
Personally I think it's okay that the expansion is coming out. I may only be 60, but I still want to get to 70 or 80, just like everyone else.
And if you're gonna complain about the work involved in WoW, then only have one character at 80, you don't NEED to have an insane amount of the highest possible level chaacters. It's supposed to be FUN.

Ah, but they do have to continually release content to continue to keep people playing. It's a very inefficient way of doing things though because no matter how many programmers you have people will always be able to finish content quicker than they can release it.

I for one am very excited about this expansion, simply because it's Northrend.
Scholomance, Stratholme, the Plaguelands, the Forsaken, the Scourge and Naxxramas are all my favorites things in the game, even if I haven't even seen the latter. I was saddened when the Burning Crusade came out, because, as the level 58-60 zones, they're now overlooked, because as soon as a player is level 58, off to Outland they go. Outland also was so demonic and Legion-heavy that we saw no new Scourge/Forsaken/Undead-related content.
Northrend, being the continent in which the Lich King rules, will make up for such a draught.
For those with their hissy fits about how this'll be too soon of an expansion, please, don't be one to jump to conclusions so fast. Blizzard had announced plans for the Burning Crusade sometime in 'o5. So.. Blizzard officially released it about a year and a half to two years later. I expect plenty of time for me to get my Warlock into raids, and my Warrior to level 70 (currently at level 52), and raid with him, next.
Not to offend Lesquid in any way, but, isn't the fun of the game in growing your characters? I think of them kind of like a pet, or an extension of my own self, and I really enjoy watching them grow and become stronger. I can't wait to further them in Northrend. As a role-player, it means more character development. My cold, calculating Warlock has gone insane since being in Outland, which, I think is kinda funny.
Although, I do realize that if they keep raising the leveling cap. we'll have no more alts. I wouldn't worry too much about that, though, 'cos after the Lich King is killed, assuming he is, the only enemy is Kil'Jaeden and Sargeras, so I predict a third expansion before WoW is 'over'.
As far as Outland, though, I thought I was gonna quit. I didn't like Outland nearly as much as others did. I didn't like the feel of being on another planet, or what remained of it. I did love Nagrand, though. But Northrend means we're back home on Azeroth, just where I like it.
Northrend, contending with the Lich King, and skirmishing with more Scourge than a person likely should. Blizz had me at "Northrend."

Look what happened to old world content when BC came out? How many people will never know how MC was? How many people will never step foot into ZG, AQ, BWL, UBRS, LBRS, Scholo, Strat, Naxx, Onyxia again? Even if you did get enough 60's together it's more productive to have 8 Ramparts groups since the loot is worthless and not worth the time, and you get xp..

I see plenty of Scholomance and Stratholme, and even Blackrock Spire going on, it's just the raids that don't get attention. I've been through the majority of ZG, and one time through MC, but just one time. A half-assed attempt on Onyxia, and a bit through AQ20. So, I'll likely never get to see how fun it is to down Ragnaros, take on Nefarion, defeat Onyxia, and go head-to-head with Kel'Thuzad. At first I was embittered about not being able to experience those, but, eh. I just started experiencing the new content. Likely it'll be like that again.

Well people, I just got back from gencon yesterday, and I happened to get to demo the exp. I must say, it was pretty flippin sweet lol. It was a welcome change from the deserts and outerspace type enviroments of outland. The graphics were excellent, and they only thing I didnt like is that you dont get to use your flying mount...

Haven't people beat Halo 2? Yes.
Is Halo 3 out yet? No.
It happens a lot.
