I'm totally against the war, but withdrawing now would be an awful decision. America and Britain need to clean up the mess they've made.

Yeah, I agree there. I really don't like Bush...I've heard so many bad things about him for starting the war.

I cant say I dislike him, I prolly would have done the same thing after 9/11 his heart was in the right place but it was handled by the incompitent fools.

I'm sure George Bush is a perfectly likeable man. However, should such a man be ruling the worlds largest power? He has never proved himself a competent leader, and he's done many things which shout out the opposite. I'm surprised he's been able to remain in power for so long...
In the words of Have I Got News For You:
"Yes, America is such a great democracy. Currently, the president is the son of a former president, and another former president's wife is running for office. What a democracy!"

Yeah, Hillary Clinton. I don't know a lot about her but my parents say they wouldn't vote for her. I have seen some funny stand up comdey routines about her, but those can be stereotypical so I try to ignore them.

It's a mess, and I think it will be a mess for a long time to come whether the troops stay or leave, unfortunately. >.< I don't know what the solution is but I don't believe that Iraq or the other Islamic countries of the Middle East are ready for democracy. gonk

I agree, Badgerkin. Their society doesn't work with an idea like democracy. Hell, Britain and America have a hard time working with our flawed democracies. We have invaded them, and now we're trying to force a western ideal on them. However, I think we still need to stay and sort out the mess we've created.

Yeah, your mortgage problem almost sent one of our banks bust, did you hear about Northern Rock over there? And the share prices of several other major banks over here have dramtically dropped.
Did anyone else watch the Daily Show with John Stewart when he was talking about General Petraeus (or however you spell it)? So funnyXD

A) I think that other than his born-again christian mentality, W is not an all together unlikable person. But I agree with John. His is not a competant leader and it is amazing to me, as a liberal democrat from a very well educated family, how the hell with his approval raitings he got re-elected. Food for thought isnt it? He is C average student who is unable to speak publicly and has become the laughing stock of the industrialized world. B) I think that Hillary Clinton can do the job, but I'm not sure I want her to. She has been part of the machine for so long, do we really want the Bill-Ary effect again? I think there is a large part of her that has already been corrupted and that we need new ideas and more progressive thinkers in the White House. But hey, anyones better than Bush at this point. C) I think that the Middle-East was the cradle of civilization and that it was ridiculous of America to think that it, a mear pre-teen in the broad view of civilization, is of such a moral authority that it could improve the oldest standing civilizaion on earth. We entered this war under false pretenses, it was uncalled for, but now that we have created a complete mess of the situation it is our responsability to HELP clean it up. This is thousands of years old civil dispute within their region that WE can not resolve. I think a moderately gradual withdrawl is what is needed.
**HI JOHN!!! I'm back....sort of......I know I have been saying this for months, but I am POOR and BUSY and so I dont have internet at my house and I have limited time to post, so I will be on from time to time when I can get to the library. heart Moon.
