Four times have I seen the same moon, the very same moon I was with her. The female I came to the Pride Lands with, the one who was with me when I came to join them. Where did she go? Did she leave me?...
The dark grey male laid upon a lone rock, safely under the shade of Pride Rock. It had been too long now since Tuzwa left him to find her children. He has not seen her since for four months that he was starting to lose faith. Where did she go? Was it gonna be like this forever? Him waiting for her to return just as he promised? He paused and sighed, trying to push the worst case scenarios out of his mind. He loved Tuzwa, he knew that! But did she feel the same way about him? It has been four months now and yet... His mind was clouded in thoughts. Was she killed? Did she find her children and decided to stay with them? Did she find another? Or was she a figment of his imagination...
He stared down at his paws and sighed. When things looked up for him, it was slowly falling apart now. His cold exterior was starting freeze him over once again. Perhaps it was time to start a new and live his life again, single or not, he had to keep living for himself.
... But where to start...

It had been some time since Sukari had interracted with someone outside his family, having been watching carefully over Ammy. His relationships with other lions had faded slightly as he grew older. So, in reclusion, he had worked at his hunting alone, splitting himself from the rest of the world. He had grown lean, and distant, growing from the childhood innocence that had once ruled his days.
Padding through the grasses during the high heat of day, Sukari kept his mind focussed on hunting, pressing out all other thoughts from his mind. Body tense, he crept along, ears flattened and mucles tight. He would get something for Ammy today, most certainly. First, he just had to find it.
At the sight of an unfamiliar lion, Sukari allowed himself to relax slightly, looking over the other lion questioningly. Why hadn't he seen him before? Had he really pulled himself away that much? Sighing, he shook his head, and decided to approach cautiously.
"Hello there." He said quietly, keeping some distance away from the unfamiliar lion. Sitting up, he smiled softly, as to seem less intimidating and more friendly. Gods knew he needed to spend time with someone outside of his blood family.

Kazi's gaze raised upon the oncoming male, a lion. His eyes looked him over quickly unsure if he could be taken as a threat. But then again, there was nothing anyone could take from anymore but his life. He gave a rough scoff and spoke.
"What brings you around here?" The question was not meant to be a threating sort but more of a curious question. He has lost some control of how he spoke. He just hoped this one knew that. He looked back up at the large den of the Royal Family and the members of the Pride Lands as the sun his just right to cast a ray of light against him.
Kazi smiled.
Warm... His mind wandered a bit before returning to the male. Kazi looked at him, he could be a member of the pride. He had no valid proof that he was a threat nor did he have anything that he wasn't one. Regardless, he is a lion, a male, and a stranger. First impressions weigh heavy when it came to friendships and future encounters.
"My name is Kazi, what is yours, Stranger?"

"My family," he said quietly, glancing back to where their den was located. "They've lived here for some time, and I was born here." That was reason enough to be here, really. It wasn't like he was going to take off and leave them alone any time soon. He was rooted here, really, even if it was only to his family.
At the introduction, Sukari nodded in acknowledgement. "Sukari." He said cooly, wondering why Kazi had been so open to introducing himself. Usually, others were a little less willing to jump into a conversation. Since when had HE been this willing to jump into a conversation? Scrunching his nose slightly, Sukari shook it off, still trying to remain as friendly as possible.
"Pleasure to meet you. What brings you to the pridelands, if I may ask?" He fished politely, not wanting to seem TOO invasive of Kazi's personal life. He might not want to tell him too much, after all.

"So you live with your family... that must be nice. I bet they take good care of you, huh?"
Kazi didn't get to have a family for long. He knew what happened to them, they were murdered by those mud blood monsters that are hyenas. It was not enough to avenge them, he still missed them. Dearly. He wished that they were still around, to keep him company, a warm body to sleep next to, someone to talk to when he was bored, or someone to go star gazing with. His family was gone and there was nothing he could do to bring them back. It was impossible. He only had a choice left and that was moving forward.
"I came to join the Pride Landers, there is no reason. At least I am willin to share with you, I am afraid." he paused.
"So..." he was not very good at conversations, he had no idea why he even started one. He looked at the smaller feline and shrugged. " You're small."
