I am shipping out to basic training September 4th for the Army. i am terrified but no of being yelled at or working out ect. but of failing, because if i fail BCT i literally have no where else to go. but my determination, i hope will carry me through. i am not physically fit but i am trying.

Finally i am nearing the end of my a** long ait as a signals intelligence analyst
my graduation date is 08-27-08 exactally 1 year and a day of me shipping off to basic ive been in training a long time ready to do my job.

OK well i graduated now i am a PFC and they shipped me to Korea for a year but i am going to put in for 2 years, I love it here so far but ive only been here about 2 weeks
(UPDATE 3) So i only spent 1 year in Korea now i am at Ft. Gordon Ga. i get out in 532 dayz

Dont worry bout it. Army BMT isnt bad from what i understand. If you want to pass then you'll pass. Just make sure your well prepared before you go. You'll be fine

As long as you can follow orders, keep organized, run a mile, do a few pushups and sit ups and shoot in the same direction as everyone else you'll do just fine.
Oh think i should point out. go online and verify EVERYTHING your recruiter tells you. Some recruiters will lie their a** off to get you to join including telling you that you wont go to Iraq. If your in the military you have about a 90% chance of going to iraq

good luck with basic training and i will keep you in my thoughts. my brother who is in the army now is going to be coming home from korea next month . im looking forward to seeing him!

I've been there. Don't worry, Spite popular belief, Drill Sergeants are there to ensure your success. Listen to what they tell you, follow orders and there's no way you can fail. The only way to actually fail anymore, is to get injured to the point you can't do anything anymore, to hit a drill sergeant, to mishbehave so badly you get chaptered out, to hit a drill sergeant, or to go AWOL. The army stopped being picky. Drill Sergeants have admitted that there were soldiers in my company that shouldn't have graduated but still did.
