 The Library
The Hogwarts library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse that section of the library; it contains books of Dark Magic only used by older students studying advanced Defence Against the Dark Arts. One of the books in this section screams when opened. The library books have various spells on them to prevent students from defacing or stealing them. Chocolate (and presumably other food) is forbidden in the library. The library closes at 8 pm.

Iridessa entered the library carrying her tabby cat, Piper. Her hair was thrown in a messy bun as she didn't have enough time to style it. She had work to do. She let Piper down on the ground and took a seat at the table by the window, Piper at her tail. "Good kitty." She chimed stroking the kitten's ears. Iridessa extracted her ink and parchment from her school bag, and began working with earnest on her Defense Against the Dark Arts essay. She eyes pouring over 'Encyclopedia of Dark Arts' for some extra information on the Boggart.

Illuminatus came in with Esrath around his shoulders, and browsed the Ancient Runes section. He unrolled a large amount of parchment and tried to copy down some runes he had not memorized when he noticed Iridessa. "Hello," he said. "What are you working on?"

Iridessa turned to the boy as he addressed her. "Oh the Defense Against the Dark Arts essay." She answered taking out some more parchment. "And now History of Magic." She explained. "And you?" She asked trying to be friendly, but feeling socially akward. She was muggleborn and didn't know many wizards.

"Ancient runes." He replied. "They're quite fascinating," he added. "I was always entranced by codes and hieroglyphs as a muggle, but this tops everything."

Iridessa nodded. "I love Ancient Runes as well, one of my favorite classes." She replied finishing off her other homework and taking out a large book on Arithmacy for a bit of studying.

Bryce entered the library, not at all surprised to see Iridessa here, he edged over to her table and took a seat across from her. "Thought I might find you here." He grinned as he read the cover of her book. "More Arthimacy." He commented.

Iridessa laid down her book and stared at him. "You've been following me everywhere." She sighed crossing her arms. "First the lake, then classes and now here." She added acting as if Bryce was an annoying pest that wouldn't go away. He is pretty cute. She thought as he smiled at her, that sweet smile. Iridessa, stop! Hes an arrogant son of a b***h! She reminded herself, her eyes narrowing dangerously at him.

Illuminatus had seen entirely too much of Bryce and was hoping to study in peace. He swore explosively and cried, "Not you again!!! Depulso! Incendio! Oppugno!" Illuminatus blasted Bryce out of the library, the last spell sizzling him with a great jet of purple lightning. Illuminatus left him dazed and smoking against a suit of armor. "I hate your type," he sneered into Bryce's face as he went back to the table, muttering "Arrogant son-of-a-bludger."

Bryce scowled and marched back into the library, wiping the dust from his robes. "Stay out of this." He spat to Illuminatus. He sat right back next to Iridessa, his wand out to defend himself next time Illuminatus decided to interfere,
"I'm wearing you down." He teased. "However for your information I have not been following you, fate has simply brought us together again and again." He explained, his eyes twinkling mischieviously.

Iridessa sighed opening her book again. "I must admit I do admire your persistance, but I don't encourage it." She said shooting Bryce an unkind look. "Now if you don't mind I'm trying to study."

"As am I!" Illuminatus raised his wand into a shoulder-level attack stance. "Get out before I do something more painful! You are pushing me to desperate measures. And if you won't hex him, Iridessa, leave so he'll follow you. This damn assignment requires concentration."

Bryce rolled his eyes. "Why don't you just mind your own business, maybe if you didn't walk around blasting people into walls you'd get work done." He retorted. Bryce removed a book on Charms and stand across Iridessa, casting a few glances over to her now and then.
