mrgreen It made me love Snape even more.. Or rather, Snape's character. As a person, he's a slimy b*****d.. But I still can't help but feel that redemption is in the cards for our Prince. mrgreen *is an in-denial fangirl*
I loved the My Sweetheart/ Draco-in-the-bathroom/ Dumbledore-being-killed scenes.. and the Tonks-loves-Lupin scene, too (for purely humor-related reasons. I hate the pairing itself, but the cheesiness of the scene is gold). I didn't like that it had so much romance, though...

I wish Draco would have gone through with killing Dumbledore...instead of having Snape do it for him. It would have made him such a bad a**... xd

La Mort de Madame I wish Draco would have gone through with killing Dumbledore...instead of having Snape do it for him. It would have made him such a bad a**... xd Yeah, he was a bit of a pansy in this book. He won't be turning to the "good" side (Rowling said so), though, so he's not completely soft.

familyguyfan218 yeah but im confused about that can he like explain things and give Harry Lessons and all or just tell them like "there is no one home" and stuff like that I'm not sure, really.. I remember reading an interview somewhere and Rowling explained the nature of portraits (that they're just the captured souls of their subjects or something like that), but it didn't really add up to the way, say, Phineas Nigellus' portrait acts. [edit] I found the exact quote! Here it is: "Wizard portraits are not living or thinking entities, they are only a 'distillation' of the real person. This 'aura' can give advice or repeat catchphrases but not much more."

Well, I was very disappointed with this book. It could have been so much better. I won't even go into rant mode, it'll make me mad for the rest of the night. It felt VERY much like a fanfiction to me, instead of the real book. When I got to the Ron/Lavendar bit...well, I was very close to getting back in the car, driving to Wal*Mart, and demanding that they give me the REAL book. Very, very close. I think the plot was horrific. And she should've named it something else. I don't see how the Half-Blood Prince is relevant to the horcrux plot at all. I think the book could've even been fine without the Half-Blood Prince subplot stuck in there. But, I won't say anymore, because I've already said I won't rant. But, ugh. Very disappointed with it.
