Although I've never seen it performed on stage, I do love the play Quills written by Doug Wright. The adversity between the pious and the perverse characters makes for an interesting story as the darkness within humanity is explored.

I really do like The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds. I've recently been working on Tillie's monologue at the beginning of the play, and I really love performing it. ^_^

Although it's practically SHORTER than a one-act, I like "Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread" by David Ives. He also wrote a semi-short play called "Variations on the Death of Trotsky" in the same book. It was rather funny.
favorite PLAY, though would have to be.... gosh, I have so many.

Though I've never seen either performed, I really like Come Back, Little Sheba, by William Inge, and Anne of the Thousand Days, by Maxwell Anderson. I read them both in the same anthology three or four years ago. Besides Shakespeare, those two scripts really started my love of reading plays.

I'd probably have to go with Les Miserables...though, I remember loving this one play I went to. I think it was one of those plays about Huckleberry Finn, but the name escapes me. I loved it because it was a deaf performance, though.

Rosencrantz and Guilderstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard. I saw it performed when I was in 3rd grade and thought it was just two men on stage talking about random, silly things with some other folks. In my Intro to Theatre class, we learned about it and I realized it is so much more. I read it, and it's amazing. My absolute favourite. It rocks beyond beleif.

I really like the play Equus by Peter Shaffer. I think the play became a tmore popular when Daniel Radcliffe got the part of the lead, but I always thought it was fascinating, long before any sort of hype was surrounding it. If you're into psychological things, I suggest giving it a read

I don't really know...I guess I'd say Othello...I haven't actually seen any plays on stage..I've only read them sweatdrop and I think reading them is pretty pointless, they're meant to be seen, but all the plays I've ever studied have never been on stage while I was studying them sweatdrop

I kind of want to add another play...it was in a Dramtics magazine and it was called Sunday Night. I was kind of Alice in Wonderland/ Mirrormask. I liked it.
