It was Lilim Kiss

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Preview:

Saiki Takaya, a guy who is easily misunderstood, one day finds a flask containing the succubus Lilim. She is very attractive but, she also has the tendency to drain the life force out of people. She surprises the life out of him (literally) when she kisses him unconscious. The girl, Lilim, turns out to be a succubus who gains energy by kissing guys. Lilim then flies off for more "food," but returns later, saying that Takaya's life-energy was the "tastiest." From then, Lilim is accepted by Takaya's parents as a live-in girlfriend of sorts, and Takaya's heart seems to start wavering towards this voluptuous devil.

My Review:

For only 24 chapters, I was hooked from the cover. This image itself has been afloat around the inter-web for some time, and it's source to me has indeed been found. The art inside is wonderful, and the characters full of life. By far I'm a fan of Piyu, who wouldn't love the cute little thing. This is definitely at must see.

Rejected way too many times by good-looking (and unattainable) guys, shy Riiko Izawa goes online and signs up for a free trial of a mysterious Nightly Lover "figure." The very next day a cute naked guy is delivered to her door, and he wants to be her boyfriend!
Has Riiko died and gone to heaven? The cute guy turns out to be sweet, smart, a great cook, and lots more. And he looks like a million bucks, which is what he's going to cost Riiko if she doesn't return him in time...

My Review:

Bitter sweet, but a beautiful storyline. This completed piece of work with 33 chapters in it is the saddest thing I have ever read. But through my tears I still am glad I got to the ending. The love triangles in this story will make you laugh, along with a certain someones persistent nature. No, it's not Night's. I was in love with this the moment I had the chance to read, I am proud to have been able to find it.

It was Death Note

Preview:

Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects--and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light lose sight of his noble goal... or his life?

My Review:

This crazed filled manga has wits about it like you wouldn't believe. To understand it is one thing, to love it is another. Every character brings a brighter light to the plot, and the depth is amazing. Something that is 108 chapters long, and finished, sure had me begging for more. The battle between good and evil in this takes you to a whole new level, and it keeps you there. So far DN has been sweeping in at a craze with fan art and praise. It is a definite worth while read. Also in an Anime.

Preview:

Ruby Crescent is an ordinary girl, who likes to go out with boys and shop. Her life is changed dramatically when her father dies and she becomes a treasure hunter as he was. Her objective is to find O-Parts -- magical items hidden under the ground which grant people superhuman powers and can only be used by an O.P.T. (O-Part Tactician) or descendant of the Angel and Devil. She soon meets a mysterious boy named Jio who, due to having a dark, lonely past, seeks to conquer the world. Jio is hostile to her at first, but ends up travelling with Ruby as her bodyguard. When Ruby is attacked by an O.P.T. claiming to be Satan, Jio rushes to her rescue and a battle occurs. Initially they are on the losing side, but Jio releases his true power and is revealed to be not only an O.P.T., but the real Satan. Thus, the two continue to travel together in hopes of unlocking their pasts.

My Review:
Though still pumping out chapters, this is definitely a must catch up on. The silly love interests and fate of the world drama beats plenty of manga I've read. It it my number one on my watch list for updates! That has to tell you something. As strong as I'm addicted, I recently read they are in the process of making an Anime. Which I know will get me addicted. 5 Stars from me for sure.

It was InuYasha

Preview:

Kagome is a modern Japanese high school girl. Never the type to believe in myths and legends, her world view dramatically changes when, one day, she's pulled out of her own time and into another! There, in Japan's ancient past, Kagome discovers more than a few of those dusty old legends are true, and that her destiny is linked to one legendary creature in particular--the dog-like half-demon called Inuyasha! That same trick of fate also ties them both to the Shikon Jewel, or "Jewel of Four Souls." But demons beware...the smallest shard of the Shikon Jewel can give the user unimaginable power.

My Review:

A fun filled ongoing story that still has kick to it in the manga. Though most will say that once the anime series ended, so did the fandom. Why wrong, there are still die hard Inu fans out there that translate the manga as the chapters are poured out, and Rie-Rie can vouch for it's awesome art. Inu fans are still out there people, and I am proud to be one of them. Oh, and the last chapter was a close kiss. Seriously.

Rena lives a double life as a normal high school girl and a mangaka artist drawing sexy love scenes. All seems to be going well until she accidentally bumped into popular high school idol, Tomoya. Rushing away from the encounter, Rena suddenly realized that she has lost her latest draft! Quickly rushing to school, she was surprised to see Tomoya waiting for her. Could this be end of her drawing days? What does Tomoya have in store for her?

My Review:

When a high school manga artist is thrown in with the hottest guy in school, a story has to be funny. Though this series is only 5 chapters long, it will draw you in with adorable incites. Just how silly can manga girls get? This tells you right off the bat. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Something IS missing, but I don't know what it is. Worth the read, I promise.

It was Naruto
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Preview:

Twelve years before the events at the focus of the series, the nine-tailed demon fox attacked Konohagakure. It was a powerful demon indeed; a single swing of one of its nine tails would raise tsunamis and flatten mountains. It raised chaos and slaughtered many people, until the leader of the Leaf Village - the Fourth Hokage - defeated it by sacrificing his own life to seal the demon inside a newly-born child, whose origins are as yet unknown. That child's name was Naruto Uzumaki.

My Review:

A tough and rough Ninja, all expectations leads to a goofy ongoing manga. Naruto is one of the silliest and dramatic things I've gotten my eyes on. Though sometimes predictable, the list is dramatic and fun as you walk through. Orange jumpsuit ninjas, bloodlines, and shy heiresses. All packed in with demons and jutsu. Radios and refrigerators. Everything you want, with Ninja piled on top. A must read.

Akuma, monsters born from dead souls mistakenly recalled by their loved ones to the living world, are the weapons of the Millenium Earl, who is intent on the destruction of the world. Allen Walker has been cursed with an anti-Akuma weapon as his left arm and an eye that sees the former soul of the Akuma since his youth. He is also one of the few who contain "Innocence", a substance that allows him to kill Akuma and fight the Earl. With these powers, he joins the Black Priest Organization as an Exorcist and sets out with other Exorcists to stop the Earl's attempts to annihilate the human race.

My Review:

While still ongoing, this manga has a wonderful punch to it. Akuma, vampire like people, and extended hammers. This really is a must read. Though updates are slow sometimes, it is definitely worth it. The characters are fun, witty, and some are even conniving. Just the perfect mix for a manga about "Exorcists." Allen eats his share in loads, Lavi(or Ravi, whichever it is) has conflict and fun, and every girl has drama attached to her in folds.

Now it's Angel Sanctuary

The angel Alexiel loved God, but she rebelled against Heaven when she saw how disgracefully the other angels were behaving. She was finally captured, and as punishment sent to Earth to live an endless series of tragic lives. She now inhabits the body of Setsuna Mudo, a troubled teen in love with his sister Sara. Setsuna's misery mirrors the chaos among the angels, and their combined passions threaten to destroy both Heaven and Earth.

My Review:

An addictive, love triangle filled manga full of awesome. Though it may cross the boundaries on a few peoples "morals," I personally enjoy it. Favorite characters, Mad Hatter and Setsuna. This is by far my favorite read, and though the anime was much to short, it is also worth watching. Hell against Heaven, a very unexpected twist at the end, something that will drive you wild. I know I'm going to get the English books when they come out. And ignore the misspelling on the cover page.
