Journal Entry #2

It has become painfully clear that I never should have left port on this ship. My shipmates behave as though they only have one brain cell it seems and that one cell for some reason is filled with hate for me. They often have 'accidents' where something large and heavy almost hit me. They laugh about it down below after the captain yells at them. I do not feel safe and so I have not slept well since the accidents started.

On top of that I tried on that ring I acquired from Eloisa. Just thinking of the things I saw chills me to my marrow. I am glad that I removed that thing from her shop. Maybe it will get lost out here where we can both be safe from it. I remember clearly that the effects of the ring made me very jumpy, nervious, and with my current situation it was all the worse. But what really made me cast off the horrid thing was the faces. There were at least 10 bodiless faces floating around me when I had that thing on and all the faces were monsterious. No I will not put that thing on again.

I wonder what my lovely diviner is doing right now. I miss her terribly.
