Even if I'm not a member of this guild I still want to share a little ghost story that's happened this year. I never did actually see any spirits but I did feel them.
I go to my grandparents house in Missouri for three weekends every year. They live in a small town that has the Trail of Tears going right threw it. When my older sister and one of my cousins that lives up there ,who is a year younger then my sister, where messing around with an Ouija board in the bedroom we stay in when they heard a loud thump in a closet in the bedroom. They ran out. My sister ,and now me, both think that my grandparents house is haunted because of it. That's not all, though. D:
What started this whole thing this year was I was talking to my sister and my best friend and my sister said that she felt malicious spirits at my grandparents house. i said that i only felt one spirit there and she seemed nice. My best friend said that is was just because i had a closed mind. I believed her so when I went to Missouri for two weeks I went with an open mind to look out for the spirits. While I was there though my grandfather has a triple bypass and we had to stay there for a moth. Also, only me and my dad, who doesn’t believe in spirits, went this year.
To be honest only two things happened that were really ghostly. One time I was walking down a stone path my grandparents have that lead to their house from their drive way. When I got half way I felt a spirit behind me. It didn't feel like it wanted to hurt me but it did seem either mad or ominous. I did go faster and watch it but it disappeared when the porch light came on. The other thing happened when I was about to leave. I was in their living room because I couldn't sleep in the bedroom that my sister and cousin did the Ouija board in without getting a bad vibe from it. So I had been sleeping on a couch for the past four days. Anyway, I felt two spirits appear next to me and they did seem mean. So a spirit I know puts a shield around me. The spirits disappear and I crash from lack of sleep. I went home the next day even more of a believer in spirits, ghost, whatever you want to call them.

I don't think that you were necessarily close minded when you only felt the nicer spirit. It is entirely possibly that you did feel a nice spirit and your sister a more malicious one. Sometimes spirits don't want to hurt you, but are upset that you are invading their space. Some spirits haven't realized that the area isn't *theirs* anymore, and sometimes you can get them to go away by just asking them to 'go home', 'go to their family', or 'cross over'.
Sometimes, though, that doesn't quite work, and the spirit will stay until they feel that they are ready, thats when you kinda just have to deal with them. Just respect them, let them know that you know they are their and that you will try to respect their space if they will respect yours. Most will abide by that mutual respect.

This is the reason I wanted the guild to be public so that people can share their experiences without feeling obligated to join.
Those are neat experiences. And I agree with Raeden about you not being closed minded, probably protected from feeling the negative emotions of the "mean Spirits" instead.
