Chapter 1: An intresting first impression
Nymphadora Tonks lay on her back in bed, staring at the vacant ceiling. A cool breeze blew through the partially opened window, causing her to draw her sheets up a little. She knew she had to get some sleep. There was to be an important meeting with the Order tomarrow and she needed to be alert. However, all the events of the evening was keeping her wide awake but not in a bad way. As she turned over, she looked out the window into the dark clear night and gazed at the partially-full moon. As she did, her mind wandered off to the memories of when she first joined the Order...
----------------------------------------
"Mad-Eye, where are we?" Tonks asked nervously. Mad-Eye Moody did not reply but shoved a piece of paper into her hand. "Memorize it quickly" he said as she read the words "Number 12 Grimmauld Place. Home to the Order of the Phoneix". As soon as she read it, the paper burst into flames shot by Mad-Eyes wand and crumpled into ash. As she looked up, she was amazed to discover that the building she had examined before was stretching out, revealing a dreary looking house complex with the number 12 on it. Mad-Eye walked foward and opened the front gate "Ladies first."
Tonks opened the door which lead into a long dark hallway. Cautiously she walked forward and jumped slightly when Mad-Eye shut the door behind them and started magically sealing the locks. "Hello? Is anyone here?" she called out tentively while squinting into the darkness. Pulling out her wand for light, she shreiked as she stared right into the nose of a dead house elf whose head was mounted on the wall. "Who's there?" yelled a voice that was obviously male. At the end of the hallway, a tall man with long black hair appeared and quickly lighted all the lamps with his wand. "Its just me Sirius." said Mad-Eye who walked up behind Tonks. "And I got a new member here with me. One I think you happen to be familar with."
As Tonks turned from the head of the dead elf to the source of the other voice, her face broke into shock and then to a smile. Sirius Black, her mothers cousin who had bin in Azkaban for 12 years and of whom she had only seen pictures of, stood before her as handsom as ever, in the same state of shock that she was in. "Sirius. Is that really you?" Sirius looked Tonks over and his eyes came to rest on her hair which was turning from red to orange. "Dora? Little bitty Dora? I cant believe it, you've grown up!" Sirius yelled as they ran forward and embraced each other. After a brief hug he pulled away and looked her over. "Cant believe it. Last time I saw ya, you were just beginning to walk. Look at you. Your as lovely as your mum. Not like your dad I'm pleased to say." Tonks giggled. "I see you still got that morphing thing goin for ya" Sirius said as Tonks hair had turned a bright yellow.
"Alright, enough chit-chat!"Mad-Eye interrupted. "We have business to attend to. Has Kingsley arrived yet?" Tonks perked up at once. "Yes he's in the kitchen waiting for the rest to show up" said Sirius. "Kingsleys in the Order?" asked Tonks and she raced down the hallway toward the stairway. Kingsley Shaklebolt was one of the best Aurors working in the Ministry. She had had the great privledge of working with him on a few occasions and was rather excited that she would be working alongside him for the Order." Dora please be carefull of that-" yelled Sirius. In her haste, Tonks had failed to notice the Troll leg stand perched near a covered up portrait and, after clumsily tripping over it and grabbing onto the portraits drapes, tumbled down the stairs into the downstairs kitchen.
Ear splitting shrieks filled Tonks ears as she lay face down on the cold stone floor. Things like "shame of my flesh" and "filthy half-breed" carried down into the kitchen and seemed to reviberate off the walls. She also heard footsteps as 2 men surrounded her, asking if she was ok and helped roll her over onto back. Feeling dazed, slightly winded and extremly embarassed, Tonks tried sitting up quickly but collapsed immediatly when a sharp pain shot through her leg and chest. "Whats wrong? Is she ok?" asked a deep voice. Tonks gritted her teeth in pain "Im fine. Just a little brusing. If I can just- OW!" Tonks had tried to get up again but the pain cut through her like a knife, causing her eyes to tear up. "Dont move. You might make your injury worse." said the unknown man. Tonks gazed up at him but couldnt make out his face through the tears blurring her vision.
"Ill take care of her. You better go help Sirius and Alastor otherwise his mother will wake the whole neighboorhood." said the stranger. "But I can-" started the deep voiced man. "Hey Kingsley! Need a little help here with the wicked witch of the west!" cried Sirius as the yells of what sounded like a woman continued to ring throughout the household. The man Tonks reconized as Kingsley quickly ran up the stairs and out of sight. Suddenly, Tonks felt 2 hands slide underneathe her legs and back and as they tried lifting her, she cried out in pain. "I know you must be in alot of pain right now but I think it best to get you off the dirty floor and your left foot elevated. Seems to be a sprain by the looks of it. Just try to relax". Tonks knew the pain wouldnt allow her to but she decided to trust the stranger and allowed him to pick her up and carry he to a nearby chair, where he gently sat her down and propped her painfully swelling ankle on a nearby bench. With a flick of the mans wand, a cushion appeared underneathe her foot and behind her back.
So this was her first impression to the Order. A spazzy klutz who'd fall over anything that wasnt nailed down. Couldnt even suck up a lousy sprain. How much more embarrasing could this situation get? "That was a rather nasty fall you had but I think you'll be ok. I may not be a certified healer, but i can fix you up a little." said the man. Gently, he pulled off her shoe, pointed his wand at her swollen ankle and muttered a spell. Tonks sighed in relief as her foot had stopped hurting but she winced slightly as she felt a bag of ice being laid on it."This'll reduce the swelling. Just keep your foot up. Now please dont be offended but I hafta do this for health reasons".
Suddenly, Tonks felt 2 ice cold hands slide up her shirt and feel around her waist. Had Tonks not bin in pain, she wouldve instinctvly grabbed the man and flung him to the ground. The most she could do though was to grab his wrists. Startled, he man stopped feeling her at once and looked up into her eyes. "I'm sorry Miss. Didnt relize my hands were that cold" he said smiling a little. For the first time since landing on the floor Tonks got a good look at her helper. He was a tired-looking man with dirty blonde hair, a small faded scar on his cheek and piercing grayish-blue eyes. "Oh, no..I.." Tonks stuttered. His look seem to have paralyze her and she couldnt help but stare back at him. Those eyes....those strangly beautiful eyes....
"Is everything alright down there?" yelled Mad-Eye from the other room as the screams continued. "Everythings under control Alastor!" yelled the man breaking his gaze from Tonks. Quickly, he rubbed his hands together and against his robed "Now lets try this again." said the stranger. Slowly he ran his hands back over Tonks waist but this time she didnt protest. "Just what I thought, a few bruised ribs. Easily repaired with medicine." the man then reached down into his pocket, removed a small bar of chocolate and broke off a piece. "I dont have any with me at the moment but chocolate will help you feel better in the meantime." "Thank you." She gratefully took a piece and began nibbling at the end, soon aware that the man was staring at her. "Is something wrong?" she asked. "Oh no miss its just....your hair. I couldve sworn it was blonde just a moment ago..." he said still staring at her spiky hairdo which had turned a soft shade of pink. -------------------------------------------------------
Tonks turned over and smiled sheepishly at the ceiling. That had bin a rather embarassing first meeting. She had bin sure Mad-Eye would kick her out of the Order after that little fiasco. Despite being a metemophimagus, she had never bin that skilled when it came to tracking. Her clumsy nature always got in the way of that. However, despite the embarassing sitch, one good thing had come out of that...she had got to meet him...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Well there ya have it. I had written a much long version of this but decided to break it up for the next chapter. Hope ya'll enjoyed.

Chapter 2: When Lupin met Tonks
Tonks turned over and smiled sheepishly at the ceiling. That had bin a rather embarassing first meeting. She had bin sure Mad-Eye would kick her out of the Order after that little fiasco. Despite being a metemophimagus, she had never bin that skilled when it came to tracking. Her clumsy nature always got in the way of that. However, despite the embarassing sitch, one good thing had come out of that. She had got to meet him. And despite their abrupt meeting, things couldnt have gone better that day... ---------------------------------------------------------------
Tonks stood in front of the bathroom mirror, washing her hands and then trying to fix her hair, which was still a livid pink. She wasnt very fond of this color and continued to screw up her eyes in concentration as she tried to make it turn red. The problem was, everytime she managed to make it light shade of red, the thoughts of the man she met (who the others called Remus) kept floating through her mind causing her hair to change right back to pink.
Once the others had managed to shut Sirius's mother up behind the drapes again, Moody gave Tonks a healing potion and Kingsley fixed her sprained ankle. The man known as Remus then excused himself so he could check outside for other Order members, which left Tonks at the mercy of Moody who lectured her on being aware of her surroundings, or as in his words, 'Constant Vigilence'. Even Kingsley was stern as he told Tonks that she needed to be more careful because they would not always be there to cover up for her. The only one who had words of comfort was Sirius, who assured her "Its a heriditary thing. Your mum once tripped over a chair at a party and caused the guy in front of her to spill butterbeer down his shirt. In other words, thats how she met your dad."
After finally managing a dull shade of red, Tonks walked back down to the kitchen (slowly and limping slighty as her ankle was still tender) and was surpised to see twice as many people sitting down. In addition to Mad-Eye, Kingsley and Sirius, there was also Dedulus Diggle, Emmeline Vance, Sturgis Podmore, Hestia Jones and few other wizards Tonks didnt know but had seen at the ministry. Tonks seated herself at the end of the table next to Sirius and surveyed all the people, who were each in conversation with one another. "I didnt know this many people were in the Order...its quite amazing." Sirius nodded. "Yep. Twice the amount we had years ago and twice the connections. Though I dont fully understand why Dumbledore wanted Mundungus Fletcher of all people to join." Sirius motioned toward the other end of the table where a dirty and shifty looking man sat, smoking a cigar and peering around nervously.
No sooner had Tonks finished eyeing Mundungus's filthy jacket, that the man named Remus sat down in front of her looking slightly more tired. "Just got a message from Dumbledore. He said he's on his way, but he has to shake off Dawlish first. Apparently the ministry is having him tracked whenever he sets foot out of Hogwarts." Sirius looked annoyed but Tonks just smiled. "Dawlish was always a bit shoddy when it came to tracking people. Dumbledore will have him trying to find his way out of a trash bin in no time." Remus laughed and effect made him look at least 5 years younger.
"Im sorry Im afraid we havent bin properly introduced. Remus Lupin. Im an old school friend of Sirius." Lupin held out his hand and Tonks shook it, blushing profusly and feeling her hair turn back to the nasty shade of pink. "And your name is...Dora I believe? At least thats what I heard the others call you." Lupin added letting go of her hand. "Oh you can call me Tonks. Thats what everyone else does." Tonks added trying to subconsiously control her coloring."Thats only cause you dont let anyone call you Nymphado-" "SIRIUS!" Tonks shouted a little too loudly causing a few to turn their heads. Feeling embarassed, she aimed a kick at Sirius from under her chair. "I told you not to call me that" she said through gritted teeth. "What? NYMPHADORA??" Sirius said slightly louder then nessisary. In a flash, Tonks whip out her wand and stuck it under Sirius's chin. "Dont make me hex you." she said as Sirius continued to snicker at her.
"Nymphadora..." Tonks turned her head at the mention of her name again and looked at Lupin, who she half-forgot was there. "Means 'Gift of the Nymphs' if Im not mistaken?" he asked. "Yes.." Tonks answered, rather taken aback that someone had understood what her bizarre name ment. "It is a very unusual name...but I think very befitting to lady like youself." Lupin said, smiling politely. Tonks smiled back and lowered her wand from Sirius chin. "Your hair...it seems to change with your mood. Some sort of new magical shampoo or haircare product i assume?" Lupin asked, staring at Tonks's hair which has turned a sharp shade of bubble gum pink. "Oh not this one." said Sirius who was rubbing his neck "Dora here's a Metamorphimagus. First one ever in our family. Can change into anyone you can think of." "Sirius please.." Tonks said feeling herself go red again. "Actually I would like to see that. Its not everyday a wizard can meets a metamorphimagus and witness a genuine transformation." Tonks smiled sheepishly, slightly overwhelmed by all the flattery.
"What would you like me to be?" she ask. "Ooh! Turn into Celestina Warbeck! Shes a total beauty." Sirius said, suddenly excited. "Oh i dont think-" Tonks said rather nervously. "Oh c'mon! You can do it. Just think of her album cover. Not the one with the 2-piece and the snake though, you are my niece after all." Tonks wasnt very comfortable about turning into one of the most gorgoues singers alive, but the attentive look Lupin was giving her seem to give her a little nerve. Closing her eyes and concentrating on Celestina's latest album cover, Tonks felt her hair grow out and her nose change shape. When she opened her eyes, wavy blonde bangs were in front of them and Lupin was in total awe. Tonks turned her head toward Sirius, who held up a small mirror and reflected a beautiful blue-eyed blonde Celestina where her reflection should've bin.
"Very impressive!" Lupin said admiring her beauty. Tonks smiled happily till Mundungus shouted from across the table "Oy! I didnt know Celestina Warbeck was in the Order! Why didnt anyone tell me?" At that, everyone turned their head toward Tonks, who froze and slowly slided down in her seat. A few people got out of their seats (Mundungus included) for a closer look and were in total awe till Tonks, from the overwhemling discomfort of being stared at, changed back to her original appearance, her hair still blonde. "Darn. Its just Tonks" grumbled Mundungus who trudged back to his seat as everyone else resumed back to their conversations. Tonks shot Sirius a dirty look before Lupin leaned over a said just above a whisper. "Very nice. Though personally, I prefer the pink to the blonde." At this Tonks hair turned back to bubble-gum pink.

Great story, I love Tonk's POV. Though you might want to get a beta before continuing, because there are a few grammar errors.
