Had one? Have one?
Personally, I think I do. It's a Harmony Stratocaster copy. To be honest, I like the look of it more than the Fender Strat. The headstock is more appealing to me. I actually found a picture of the exact one I have and put it in my sig.
Now, this thing is easily more than 10 years old. Probably even more than 15 years. It belonged to my eldest brother when he was in a band.
Now, I found this guitar in a Fender guitar bag when I first wanted to lay. Technically, it was my first guitar. Now, it looks old. Visibly. It has crappy stickers all over it and the pickups are dirty and honestly don't sound to appealing anymore, but the body is going to be nice when I will take the stickers off.
I'm thinking of replacing the pickups with Stratocaster pickups.
So, what are you planning on doing with your project guitars?

Three single coils, Fender tremelo, etc. It's going to be such a b***h though to find a V pickguard routed for 3 single coils though...I'm probably gonna have to end up fabricating one myself. Here's what I hope it to look like: Yngwie Malmsteen's Flying V

Three single coils, Fender tremelo, etc. It's going to be such a b***h though to find a V pickguard routed for 3 single coils though...I'm probably gonna have to end up fabricating one myself. Here's what I hope it to look like: Yngwie Malmsteen's Flying V Nice. That should be quite a different sound than the standard Flying V.

Of course, if I REALLY wanted to do something weird, I'd put all of that onto the new Gibson Arrow guitar. xd

Of course, if I REALLY wanted to do something weird, I'd put all of that onto the new Gibson Arrow guitar. xd I think I'd rather put a Telecaster single coil, a Gibson humbucker, and a Duncan middle pickup and put on a Fender tremolo. The body could be a Strat. That Arrow sucks.

Is that the acutal picture? I have one that everyone copies. EVH's guitar. A cheap Squier Strat. The only one that has the pickups right is the one wiht the mirrored pickguard. Then paint it, change the neck, and put EMG's in it. TADA!!!! My EVH Guitar.

I think a multi neck fretless bass/guitar would also be cool. Or an extended range fretless. Like have 30 frets. Dont add high ones, just low ones. That would sound cool. I dont know? I've had a bunch of project guitars in the past. I did a Warmoth project once and it came out alright it was a gibson firebird kinda- but super pumped and beefy with high output humbuckers (dimarzio x2n in the bridge and a hot rail in the neck) and really great electronics, in fact someone liked it so much they bought it from me sad a great guitar.
