Anyways, on Deathgod.org, there is an entry that caught my eye:

Death Note’s L Spinoff to Open on February 9 in Japan

The official website for the spinoff L movie, which focuses on the title detective from the Death Note live-action suspense movies, has announced the February 9, 2008 opening date in Japan. The website has also posted the second teaser trailer, which the distributor Warner Brothers commissioned to screen before Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix in Japan

I just saw both Death Note movies!
SUPERB!
I loved them both.
I can't wait until the L spin-off movie comes out.

SUPERB!
I loved them both.
I can't wait until the L spin-off movie comes out.

I OWN both Death Note movies... on spiffy DVDs... biggrin
And yeah... they're pretty good and a different way of telling the story.

And hopefully the 3rd movie is as great or better than the first two... I saw one trailer for it before so I'm gonna go clickeh that link and see what you've got. All I know about it at the moment is that it's supposed to be about L [duh] so it's got to be some sort of backstory... and it's set in America.

EDIT: Nuuuu!!!! That's the trailer I watched already!
