Was Hughes death really worth writing into FMA? They could have had him seriously injured or something like that. Envy didn't have to go kill him. I hated watching Hughes die a second time and watching Elicia tell her mom to tell the men to stop burying him. It was too sad..

Heh, well was nina's death nessacary , I mean did shou really have to go that far, I mean why didn't Ed and Al adopt nina? Was it nessacary for Ed to die? Or was it not? I don't know really what to say but remember I told you about the dream I had where I was Ed and I was in another world. So maybe it happened for real in the FMA world.

I cried for days after watching that episode. I still can't watch any clips from it or I start sobbing.

Spoiler: Without Hughes' death, Mustang wouldn't really have had a motive to go after Bradley in the last two episodes. He even confirmed that it was to avenge Hughes why he was going after him rather than working his way up and letting Ed destroy him.
And I doubt that Envy would just let him go when Hughes knew all which he'd found out about concerning the homunculi and the secrets of the military and such.

Envy would never let someone go. No compassion in his heart or whatever he has....Edward san has a point, though, they did sorta go to far with it.Was it all really neccesary? In my opinion, the saddest episodes are 1.Nina's death 2. Hughes's death 3. Greed's death 4. Ed's death All of em are sad......death.....

Whether or not it was necessary is kinda besides the point... Hughes knew enough to expose their whole plan, he wasn't going to have a happy ending.

It not only made me cry, but my older brother, who never forgets to tell me I'm weird for watching it, but he watches it too, cried. It was necessary along with nina's and greeds. For each death the elrics saw and experianced, it gave them drive and initative to keep doing what they were doing. They faught for nina, and hughes. Though ed's death..... don't quite get it yet. I have to go over the episodes again. Which I will be doing tonight. 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh

Amata19 Da_joker_version But how did they acually find out. Sloth wasn't with him at the time, was she? I can't actually remember.. what episode is it that he dies in?, I'll watch it again and get back to you. Episode 25. Sloth knew he knew because at the beginning when Hughes addressed the issue of wanting to talk to Marcoh and his suspicions regarding lab five etcetera, she was in the room. She was even asked to get Marcoh and bring him to Central, and told to 'extract the bad part out' (the way I interpreted it, that being the Fuhrer's way of telling her to off Hughes).

Oh yeah, I remember now, I had forgot that the fuhrer had told sloth that and sloth was in the room. I guess i didn't pay attention as much as I thought. sweatdrop but I still don't see the equivelency in the deaths to help Ed and Al.

Perhaps it wasn't so much for Ed and Al as it was for Mustang. What I mean by that is that since Hughes' death, he did seem to speed up in his plan to become Fuhrer because he was mostly doing it for Hughes himself, or so it seemed to me at least.

"I have a daughter to get back to." AWWW HUGHES.
And the weirdest thing is like, teacher says even though they die, the memories of them still live on in us, and everyone feels like hughes is living on in them here right.? The creepiest thing is that he's not even real but he still lives on!
ISN'T THAT WEIRD!? <3Hughes!
