Ok, so I'm in a contest right now, which is advertised in my signature, So You Think You Can Write. Now, this contest idea has amazing potential, but the owner has currently handed over the reins to his gf, who seems.....not very capable to run a contest that's this complex (nor did the original owner). I love this idea so much that I want to see it run properly, so I was thinking that I would a contest like this, properly run, and most likely here in the guild. Any opinions on that at all? Good idea? Bad? Just wanted to put it out there.

I think it sounds good. It's sort of an "American Idol" sort of thing, right? Mostly decided by the people? Cool.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Seems like a lot of work, though. Hopefully everything will turn out the way you want it to. I'm sure tons of people here would love to help out, too (well, I wouldn't mind helping if you need it ^_^). Good luck! 3nodding

omgs, that would be so much fun!
I've been admiring that contest, but it seemed HUGE and so...not-for-me.
But now I'll be looking forward to a smaller one here in the guild.
I think the idea's great. blaugh

Heh, well yay! Glad people are supporting this idea. It won't be all that much smaller. The contest will be both in the guild and in the contest forum. The contestants I'm hoping will be from this guild (and people who join the guild to join the contest) and the voters will be from the contest forum. I'd post the stories on there for people to see. I was thinking instead of 20 contestants, only 12, which would be 6 pairs and it wouldn't take as long to finish the contest.
