They mean one hell of a lot to me.
Start Something is an album which more or less sums up this year for me. This year has been one of the most happiest, life changing, amazing and yet hardest years of my life. I am actually able to identify with songs on this album.
I love the fact that they don't care what other people think of them - they do their own thing, what will make them happy. They've made music which not only we as fans enjoy but they enjoy too.
Musically theyre fantastic. FSOP was a new sound, something different from anything else at the time it was released. Start Something is so diverese, new twists at the end of songs like the piano interlude at the end of the very "heavy" Start Something. Lyrically, theyre improving too - you only have to listen to Sway to understand this. I have no doubt that their next album will rock even more than Start Something.
I also have an admiration for their determination. Theyve worked hard for their success and have kept at it. They worked their arses off this year and its really showed.
The expression "salt of the earth" has also never been truer. For a band with increasing fame theyve not forgotten who they are and where theyve come from. Theyre working class boys at heart and you can tell they appreciae where theyre at now.
At the firt I must admit I liked them for more superficial reasons than I do now - now its more about the music rather than them as people, and about how I identify with what theyre saying. They mean a lot and are right their in my heart with the Manic Street Preachers.

That was long, way too soppy and maybe too thoughtful but thats why I love them.

Seriously though Start Something is among the albums in my collection that mean the most to me, theyre a band I wouldve willingly donated organs to see play live, and theyre one of the most grounded bands around.

I love Lostprophets for many reasons I suppose.. They are just plain freaking great!. I love their music, it's amazing first of all. Every single song on Start Something is just like.. WOW.. I like all the songs on there which is rare for me to like an entire CD.. And the lyrics are meaningful and bring out emotion. And they just rock! .and it helps also that they are hot..lol.. sweatdrop

Why do I like lostprophets? That's like asking why do people breathe? Or why is the color blue actually blue? Woah... think about that one for a while...

Well anyway, in all seriousness, I love lostprophets for a number of reasons. First of all, the lyrics. Their songs are so deep, so structured, and so intense... I've never heard or seen anything else like it in my life. They sing about what they want to sing about, and they do it very well. The vocals are amazing. Guitar work... don't get me started... it's crazy-awesome. The way their music flows and engulfs the listener in a daze of emotion and raw musical talent... yeah, that's why I love lostprophets. Their music just gets stuck in your head and you can't get it out, but then again, you don't even want to.
