Hello there, as you can see, I am having severe problems with coming up with a title for my novella. Yes, novella, *gasp* new vocab word! A novella is prose, somewhere between a short story and a novel. Like a very long short story or a...very short...novel...Yeah, okay, moving on.
The story is about Nomi. Nomi is a young girl living in Boston, but she can't remeber anything before the day she stumbled into a police precinct covered in blood (dum, dum, dum!!!!)
Anyway, as it turns outm Nomi is a fallen soul from purgatory and an Angel from Heaven is sent to retrieve her. But since she is from purgatory, Heaven doesn't actually have any claim on her, so Hell sends a Demon to drag her to their side. (The plot thickens!!!!)
So, Nomi get's stuck in the middle of a fight between Heaven and Hell and she has no idea why she seems to be the center of it all. In the meantime, she is also attacked by a Rogue Angel, a Demon name Corola, and a small bunch of theater groupies. It is (according to me) a very interesting story, but my OCD is telling me I need to put something at the top of Page 1, so if you all could help me out that would be great.
And if any of you are interested in reading this story (which I sincerley doubt you are) I would be perfectly happy to post part of it for you.
And also, just thought I'd add this, if anyone else is looking for help on their title or whatever, feel free to post here!

hmm, I feel a little insulted by your letting me know what a novela is as if I'm stupid but I look the other way and assume you are talking to someone else. Anywho... Heaven and hell type stories...
...
Well the best thing I can say is write the book first and think about the title later. If it is bothering you so much then think about something that would describe the story in a phrase or something that has a dominate feature in the story or something that is so subtle but just as important as the main character. That's about all I can say.

Titles are usually one of the last things I think about when it comes to my stories for some reason. Also, it's hard to come up with a title using just a summary since a good deal of the time the title comes from a specific part of the book. I'm sure people would be willing to help you, but you'd probably have to post your piece first wink

Just add in a title later. <3 Like Queeny said, just writing a little phrase that sums up your story.. type thing. I usually have my whole story plotted out in my head before I even begin writing, and I'm good with names and titles, so I usually have a million title ideas. I've never really had the title problem. T__T Sorry! A little edit here, if I was writing that story, I'd try to make the title have something to do with middle, seeing as she's kinda between Heaven and Hell. But I make no sense. So.. Yehhh.

Thus if you've finished your book don't you think you should read through it and see the facts that would make a good title for your book that is finished!

It'll be interesting, heck yes it will...how about....Soulclaim. All one word. Oh, and about the chick's name, why does everyone on Gaia insist on giving their people Japanese names? YOUR NOT JAPANESE, GET OVER IT!
