Over the summer, in all modesty, I've gotten a hell-of-a-lot better at playing guitar. So now, I need to get rid of this piece of crap known as a Peavey(Don't even touch it anymore.) It shall be done soon. I have others. Anyway, thats not the point. The point is, I'm upgrading. But to what? That's what I've been asking myself. I've pretty much narrowed myself down to these options after a long an arduous task through my brain. A: Fender Telecaster, possibly Nashville Deluxe. B: Fender Stratocaster. C: Fender HSS Stratocaster.
Anyone have any input?

Playing style?
Budget?
Trem or no trem?
Body style preference (Strat, LP, Flying V, Kelly, RR, Warrior, Tele, SG, Explorer, etc.)?
Body wood preference?
Any brand preferences?
Pickup configuration?
Examples of necks you like.

Ares Denton Playing style? Rhythm mostly, but lately I've been practicing more and more lead. Budget? $300 maybe $400. Trem or no trem? I'd like one. Body style preference (Strat, LP, Flying V, Kelly, RR, Warrior, Tele, SG, Explorer, etc.)? I favour the Telecaster body. Body wood preference? Hmm, I really have no preference formed as of yet. Any brand preferences? Fender. Pickup configuration? That's what I haven't decided on. I like the versatility of an HSS Strat, but I'm also not sure if it's what I want. Examples of necks you like. I like Maple necks.

This has a huge effect on the playability, no matter how good a guitar sounds it wont be fun to play if the neck is uncomfortable.

It's smooth and my hand can just glide straight up or down the neck. It's also thin easy to wrap my hand and fingers around. It feels great.
