Most of you have probably already read the thread "New Banner" in the Chat subforum, and if you have not, please do. Later on in the thread there is a running discussion of what fonts to use for the text, which will not appear during the coloring contest. However, whoever selects the text that is voted upon will get 200 gold, so go find some good ones! The Great Banner-Coloring Contest!AKA Mission: Color Sossal! Prizes
1st Place: 5k and the banner placed on the guild homepage
2nd Place: 3k
3rd Place: 1k
Rules
1. You may use any physical or digital medium or the combination of any physical and/or digital mediums to color this picture and its background in any way you like.
2. If you need to print it out, please keep the image in its original size and quality.
3. There will be the large text "The Lit Mag" and underneath it in smaller text of the same font, "A guild for the serious author and artist" going across her stomach and sitting between her outstretched arms. Take this into account when coloring (do not make super-busy patterns on her shirt, etc.) but do not worry about putting it onto your image.
4. Please use at least a few bright colors. We do not want a goth or emo mascot.
5. Keep the background relatively simple as we want the text and the girl to be the focus of the image.
6. You may add designs of your own to her clothing and the background. You may also add highlights at will.
7. Please do all of this work on your own. Collaborations and hired colorists are not permitted and will result in immediate disqualification.
8. Please submit a maximum of two banners. Any banner(s) submitted after your first two will be ignored.
9. Entry is free. Anyone, guild member or not, may join the contest.
Entries are to be submitted by posting in this topic. Once posted, the entries will be added to the list on this post. You may chat here as well.
In the event of a tie, a guild member will rank higher than a non-guild member. True ties will have a tie breaker round. Non-guild members may join for the contest, but please don't immediately leave after it is over. You might as well check out the guild for a bit.

Cute avi drawing, Aurah! I'm trying to work on coloring it in my Paint program but it's going slowly. Wish I could manipulate the computer better.

I'm working REALLY hard on this!
I know I haven't been very active in the guild, so I feel the need to make that up. (And I'll be more active, too)
So, I'm gonna do my best!
I'll hopefully have it up tomorrow, but it may even be Monday, seeing as the hair alone took an hour D:

Wow, the lineart turned out great! Still think it was way expensive, but it certainly is worth every piece of gold given...

Everyone's banners look so good!!! I'm sort of reluctant to submit mine but I'll do it anyway.
