This is a little topic I thought you all may be interested in.
If you could be reborn as anything, anywhere, at anytime, what would you pick? What kind of occupation would you have? Try not to pick an existing person. It's much more interesting to make up your own. 3nodding
I would want to be born around 1957 or so, so I could grow up through the 60s and be around and "at my prime" for the 70s. I would almost certainly rather be born male. I'd be a musician for sure and I'd love to live in Chicago or Seattle. I really love both of those cities.

I like my life much better than any I can think up.

Woo. Imagination. Quote: i like myself. why would i want to change who i am and be born in another time and place, and be completely different? You don't necessarily have to be an entirely different person just because you're in another time period. I imagine that if I were to go to the 1800s, I would still be me just... in the 1800s. The point is that some people feel as though they don't exactly 'fit' or would fall into place more easily in other time periods.

I am a young man. i live in a building made of wood and stone. i have spent years serving tea and doing chores for a master of mysterious arts. sometimes i do not know why i have chosen this life for myself or what i hope to become. in the three years that i have been here i have been taught very little except how to do the chores. i arise before master Chin and prepare rice for him and collect goat's milk while he sits silently in his private quarters. i serve him and eat only after he has left. when he enters or leaves a room i bow low and speak not a word unless he addresses me. After eating he leaves the grounds to attend to his mysterious business while i stay behind and do household chores. when he returns we eat again, him first myself after. typically after the second meal we have discussions, though never about himself or his mysterious ways, we normally speak of seemingly mundane subjects and sometimes he asks me why i am here with him and my story has changed many times. as i have said, sometimes i even do not know why. as the sun grows low in the sky i attend the master while he bathes in the stream nearby. After we return i serve tea and retire to bathe myself. my days have gone on like this and i do not know how many. perhaps someday i will leave, but what could i possibly go to?

Well, I don't really believe in reincarnation, but since that is the topic, I guess...
Buddha, neizche, or myself over and over again, except I remember my past life, but nobody else does.
