Purpose: The 8th Division deals with experimental tactics, things that are new and unexpected. Some of the time what they come up with is useless to the situation but they have come up with some unique ideas that have altered how all of the Gotei 13 fights. They are made up of a large variety of people from the apathetic to the perfectionists.

Description of Division: The headquarters of the 8th Division is one of the most varied buildings in the Seireitei. They have a dojo, weapons and kidou training rooms, labs and several other random rooms. They have a decent sized library filled mostly with books on military tactics. The outside of the building has a large garden surrounding it; members of the Division often come out here to think.
