Purpose: The 12th Division is constantly working on inventing things that will better Soul Society and help give Shinigami an edge in battle. To this date they have created many things that are now thought of to be invaluable to all Shinigami. They are feared at times for their curiosity and the lengths they will go to in order to reach their goals, but they don’t let it slow them down.

Description of Division: The 12th Division is the largest research center in all of Soul Society. It has several labs all dealing with various things, from chemistry to mechanics. The most powerful computer in Soul Society can be found in the 12th Division but the only people who can access it are the Captain and Vice-Captain of the 12th. The Division also houses the largest library in Soul Society, with thousands of tombs on the history and advancements in Soul Society.
