i was on one of my other guilds and they r saying that there are sights on google that have lists o thousands of gaians usernames AND passwords. eek lots of people are getting hacked right now so i think we should try to spread the word to all of gaia to change their passwords like once a week. exclaim then there is a very slight chance of hacking. plz contact me or if u can tell me if u think of any other ways to resolve this. ok. i just checked it out and i found OVER 1 MILLION sights for getting passwords. stressed i tested them and they really work. we need to change our passwords DAILY i think now. neutral

I found a very interesting sight that estimates the security of certain passwords when put through a computer hacking system. Apparently if you use a five letter password with no numbers in it the simplest computer program could generate a list with the correct combination in less than five seconds. eek
However, the most complex program would take 83 days to get a list with the correct comination of an 8 letter word that is both letters and numbers. 3nodding

That's good to know! I'm up to changing my password and my daughter's about once every couple of days now. It is also worrisome since some of us pay for gaia cash and MCs through paypal. When we use paypal, we're sent to a link that autofills our username and password on paypal.
Gaia admin really needs to get more on the ball with security, or I will have to stop using this site because of the risks sad
