Kaikura smirked as he loped over to the watering hole, his muscles hot from his run. He loved the feeling of his strong body in motion. He treasured nothing more then his own strength and it was nearly obsessive as he spent his entire days on the move, testing himself. He was a hunter for his pride, but bringing prey to others wasn't much of a concern to him. If he felt like killing a prey beast then he'd do it and if someone else came to pick it up good for them. But he was no delivery boy.
He swaggered arrogantly over to the water's edge, dipping his maw into the water and lapping up a good amount of the liquid, feeling it slide down his throat with a comforting chill.

Teuli'ukilia was not in the best of moods earlier that day. It had rained, diminishing her flames to mere spitfires, and once again she'd nearly lost her current life. If it hadn't been for that conviniently placed cavern she would have surely died.
She loved to watch the rain, but she detested monsoon season.
She opted to disquise her still weak wings for the time being, taking shelter in the peace of the Pridelands for now. Disquised as a normal lioness, she carried herself towards the same watering hole where Kura was taking a drink, unknowingly. When she did spot him, however, her only acknowledgement was a polite nod, and a quiet "Good afternoon, stranger.". Her head lowered immediately after to thirstily lap at the liquid at her paws. Ironic that water was her fatal weakness, but she also needed it to live like everything else.

Kaikura lifted his head, licking water off his whiskers. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the normal looking female, one he had not seen before. She didn't smell like she lived around here either, since many pridelanders took on a certain scent after a time. "You're not from around here, are you?" He asked bluntly, one fang showing as he sneered at her. Even though she appeared older then him he didn't seem to care. She was female and rarely brought any respect from him, especially from a stranger.

"My, my, aren't we the bright one?" She quipped, quirking a feline brow at his sneer, but she only replied as such once she had her fill of water, sitting up not quite primly, but certainly not slouching either. From there she eased onto all fours again, her white, black, and lavender streaked tail tuft flickering in warning that she was feeling irritable and not to be tested. Mortals... had she ever been this rude when she was one? "Did your mother not teach you any manners to uphold in the presence of a lady?"

Hmph. She thought she was so great, didn't she? How women could think their elegance was appealing was beyond him. He snorted at her comment rolling his eyes without any signs of respect. "Since when do females deserve manners?" He questioned dully, as if this were a stupid conversation. But he supposed he'd humor her. She was only a girl after all.

Those words stopped the goddess in her tracks. Her eyes narrowed with her immediately furrowing brow, a glare quick to form at those words. Turning to look at Kaikura in surprise, she managed to spit out a curt and emphatic-- "What? Ex-CUSE me?!"

"Oh come on, it's not like you guys do anything to warrent it," he said with a wave of his paw, sounding bored. Her surprise, irratation, and horror were of no concern to him. Females were oddly emotional beings after all. He had just had one yell at him the other day. They were always wasting their time gabbing about something or another.

That little arrogant--
"... Really... so you truely think manners are a waste of time? Please, boy, do say that you jest." She replied, voice lacking the mirth from her first reply as she stared him down past dull purple eyes. It had been some time since she cursed an individual, but even as she waited for his answer she was searching, searching for that one thing that he would give almost anything, or perhaps everything for. That one thing would be his downfall in the end, if he didn't answer correctly now.

"Look, I'm not going to explain it to you Lady, if you don't get it well you don't," he grumbled, though he didn't sound surprised that she wasn't getting it. He never valued females for being highly intellegent. But then, he didn't really value them at all. Strength was the one thing that mattered to him and he didn't see females having much of it.

The ferocity with which her brows narrowed this time was much more malicious. She'd had her fill already, and wouldn't tolerate anymore. He'd learn his lesson, the hard way.
With no regard to the fact that he may or may not have seen or believed in gods before, she dropped her disguise with quite a display. Her wings suddenly seemed to burst to life out of thin air from twin points on her back, the flames blowing tall and wide before calming to a muffled bellow, like wind in an enclosed space. Her tail sprouted much in the same way, but despite the licking fire, did not burn the grass. Two sets of twin tails sprouted from the end of her tail tuft, surrounding the flame like a torch. Her feather charm became visible, as well as her tail ring with it's strange and elegant silver inscriptions. She looked very much like she meant business now.
"You think you know what true strength is? Mortal, you have -no- idea... but I intend to help you learn that lesson the hard way." She growled, stalking closer.

Kaikura paused, startled by the sudden change. But he was more suspicious then anything else. He narrowed his eyes, frowning warily. But he struggled to stay as such, for her gender still drove him to doubt any possible strength she might have. And he new nothing of gods. "You're quite the freak, aren't you?" He murmured, barely listening to her words. Listening was not one of his better skills.

"Arrogant whelp..." She hissed, stopping just short, staring him down as she worked her "Spell".
He'd likely already feel it taking affect, as he was quite effectively still acting quite the role of jerk.
"From this moment onward, strength will be stripped from you for every soul you scorn. Be wise who you insult, boy. You'll be unable to break this curse on your own, so I would advise you quickly learn some of those manners you belittle so, as well as some respect for the opposite sex."
Hah... that would teach him. Teuli smirked, stepping back, as if a transferance of negative energy had just taken place.

"What the hell are you on about?" He growled, loosing his patience. But that wasn't the only thing he was loosing. Suddenly he felt as if his energy was being sucked from him. His limbs even began to quiver slightly, like when you got a fever. He hadn't ever been sick, however, so the feeling was completely unfamiliar to him. He balked at it, looking a bit glazed in the eyes, "What in the world?! What did you do?" His snarl was a bit twisted a weak, for the sensation was only getting worse.

"A curse. Careful not to get too overzealous, dear, we wouldn't want you getting sick." She smirked, reaching out a paw to push firmly at his chest, to further demonstrate her point and the spell's effect. "Now you be sure you choose wisely which you'd rather sacrifice... your strength and health, or your backwards ideal of women. You'll learn true strength and respect if your lucky, even if weakness must be your teacher."
She flicked her tail, settling on her haunches. Unless he gained some respect right on the spot he would be unable to truely harm her, and even if he did, he wouldn't feel the need to. It was a beautiful catch twenty-two.
"I never did introduce myself, did I? How improper of me... I am Teuli'ukilia, and I'm the goddess of Sacrifice."

He stumbled at her push and felt overwelmed by confusion and anger. Such a small touch should not have set him off balance. "You crazy b***h!" He growled by at that comment his legs gave out. He crumbled to the ground, panting and weezing like a sickly child. He certainly didn't feel any stronger then one anyway.
