Subject:Gift For Jimmy Page
Hi! I just joined YouTube and was looking around for my favorite thing in the whole world - Jimmy Page! - when I came across a comment of yours under a video. When I went to see your profile I just HAD to ask you this favor...
I am collecting messages to Jimmy from his fans and am having them professionally printed and bound in a leather book to send to him for his birthday in January. I wanted to send him something special from his fans in the 40th anniversary year of the creation of Zep, so my favor is to ask you if you would make a contribution? Your message to him can be as long or as short as you like. I just know anything from you will be something I
need to put in his book - he has to have messages from fans like you!
Thanks so much for taking time to read this. If you want to know more about the project, or me, feel free to ask. I have about 300 messages so far, and I really want to add yours to my list!
I'd also be very grateful if you could pass on my email (ayhollinshead@hotmail.com) address or YouTube contact info to any of your friends who might want to say something in this book. I need all the help I can get. The book has to go to the printer in November, and I want to get it crammed as full as possible.
Thanks,
Annie
2nd message!
LOL - we definitely think alike - the first thing I said after hearing him play was just what you said in your reply, "he's the best person to ever walk the earth."
Thank you so much for sharing this project with friends of yours. I really need people to do that for me because I am virtually chained to the computer trying to collect messages and I can't reach as many people as I want to on my own. I even hunt down people in the street wearing Zep shirts, looking at their music in music stores, I even talked to people waiting in line to go see a Zep tribute band....it's a 24/7 job! But so worth it to put a smile on his gorgeous face...
Anyway, you just type them and send them to me through my email: ayhollinshead@hotmail.com or through YouTube, or you can even go to our website and leave them in the thread on the forum or in a pm. The website is for another huge project I'm doing, a fan's Archive, and is only just getting started so the forum is small. You can find it here: ledzeppelinarchive.org The thread is under "Whole Lotta Love" called 'a gift for Jimmy." I haven't publicized the site much yet, and I could use help there too, so feel free to poke around and comment - or join! I am working on the first collections that have come in for display now.
If anyone has art they want to send for the book, (I already have several lovely pieces) then it is best to scan that, but otherwise typing is fine. I will send my postal address if someone wants it, but all the messages are going to be type set by the printer because I think if we had all handwritten messages they would get hard for him to read.
I know several people that know how to contact Jimmy - his manager, the people who run his ABC Trust, a few friends of Robert's (Robert will pass the book on to Jimmy if I can't get it to him another way), and if all else fails I can send it to one of his homes here, but I'd rather not. I want someone to put it in his hand, and I have enough contacts to be able to do that, so he will actually receive it.
Thanks so much for all your help and agreeing to take part. Jimmy is so wonderful, and as I am finding out, his fans are too!

Hi! I went to see the bookmaker at the weekend, and I thought I better update you. I told everyone that the deadline for the book was November, but the bookmaker says because of what I want, it will take two months to create, so the deadline for receiving messages for it is October 31st. Sorry about that, I had no idea it would take so long, but it is a beautiful thing and will be a piece of art as well as a book, so, worth it!
Just letting you know so the deadline doesn't slip by you or any friends that you passed word on to.
Annie
Yup, I'm awesome. cool
Post your message here if you want me to send it to her. Or you can. 3nodding
