Hello, I'm not sure if anybody has started a thread like this at any point. (I hope not!)
What I would like to do is to make a thread for everyone to share their nuggets of wizdom about birth/motherhood/childen.
Example...
Things nobody told me about being a mommy...
You love your baby more than life itself. It feels like your heart is walking around outside of your body.
It hurts you more than them EVERY TIME your baby has to get shots
You get very comfortable with POOP! (And with discussing it with strangers)
(etc...)

I didn't know that my nipples would be so chapped when I started breastfeeding. ^-^; I'm sure there are other things, as well... but they're not coming to me at the moment. x.x

Uryuu- I'm glad you can't... rofl
Gossy- Yea, I am so glad to be over that phase now. xd Of course there are benefits to breastfeeding, but at the same time, it involved so much sleep deprivation and now my daughter is way more independent. Something else that I learned is that I didn't know little ones caught on to things so fast. I mean, some things are pretty obvious that they need to do in order to survive, but today my daughter said, "up," loud and clear for the first time. She was even standing on her tippy toes! So cute~! (Of course I have been saying, "Up.... down," for months, but she has just been really progressing with her talking lately. heart )

That actually makes me think of another thing... My breasts have always been rather large... They were Ds before I was pregnant. DDs when I was pregnant. And then exploded into Gs when I started breastfeeding. The worst part is that even though I stopped breast feeding in April or May... or something. I still have milk left in my breasts and therefore they're still Gs. I so wish they would go down in size as I am sure they are part of the reason why I have back pain.
I'm truly am sorry that you missed out on that experience though, Aurora. sad

What no one told me was that my feet would get bigger with each pregnancy.... I wore a size 9 shoe when I got pregnant with my first then I noticed afterwards my size 9's were too tight... I had to go to a size 9 1/2-10 .... Not to mention my boobs got bigger with each pregnancy I was a B cup before it all started I am now a DD cup.... I am hoping that when I lose weight I will lose it in my boobs!!!! BTW After 3 kids I am also a size 10 1/2 - 11 depending on the shoe.... It really sucks cause it is hard to find cute shoes that fit right and are comfortable.... BTW this is Mystress_Athena.... Just taking care of the store today and getting the latest items for the guild store...LOL

I was told that my feet would grow but they haven't. They are still small. It's so hard to find shoes that are mature for me. They don't make very many 4's to 5's. Most shoes start at 6 or the 5's are too big.

YEah no one told me that leaving my baby even to go out would make me feel like a bad mom, or not feeding her breastmilk anymore would make me feel like i wasnt doing something right

Nobody ever told me that teenagers can act like 2 yr olds.... Grrrrr it is so frustrating trying to have an adult conversation with them and they start acting like a baby....

I try to be good about not being whiny and such... I was always told that I was mature for my age... about eight years ago... haha.
I never noticed anything about the shoe size. O.o; My chubby tummy and appetite still haven't gone down, though. I found that drinking more when I have eaten enough seems to help. ^-^;
And I know what you mean about feeling like a bad mom. sad Seems to be a feeling that happens all too often. x.x; Although, when it comes down to it, I know I am ultimately doing things right as there isn't a better way to do it. ^-^;

~Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree~ lol all throughout my pregnancy I only wore flip flops because my feet got so swollen they wouldn't fit into my other shoes. But, now I can fit back into my nice size 9's again.
And the breastfeeding thing.. man! No one told me how badly you leak those first few days.. like I think I went through 3 packs of those disposable nursing pads in like a week!!! I'd say.. go for those.. what are they called.. Lily Pads? Yeah.. those things!! Yeah and showering... lol, the leaking from going into the shower and getting out.. it getting all over your clothes before you have a chance to cover up the small streams of doom! haha
~In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall~
