Obviously- If you haven't read Eclipse, well you shouldn't be in this forum at all!

Okay, so Bella got on my nerves. A lot.

She was horribly out of character, and she was an emotional wreck through out the whole book. Jacob and Edward were doing the best they could for her so that she would be happy, but it wasn't enough for her. They wanted to fight for her so she would be safe, but she wanted them both to stay with her so that they wouldn't get hurt- when they were OBVIOUSLY strong enough to be perfectly fine. She'd seen them both in action, and they continuously reassured her there would be no problem.
And then her sudden sex drive. That was deffinatly not Bella-like at all. I always saw her as exactly the kind of person who would never have sex before they were married. And then even when he said no she kept going on about it- also not very Bella-ish. She seemed really mature in the past two books, and I noticed that it came back at the end of Eclipse. Just in time to make me desparate for the next book.

I was really hoping that she would have to choose between them in this book- it's not fair to have both of them when they don't mix well. She was extremely selfish. The worst part is, she knew she was selfish, she just didn't do anything abou it. She just kept on being selfish.

So there's my rant. Anyone feel the same, or have similar opinions?
Anyone think I'm a total nut?

I kinda agree. but as far as the drive, she was always getting out of hand(first kiss tangles in his hair). Impulses around her 'drug', but this time the drug was willing to allow it. He kinda initiated it too. I don't know anyone who wouldnt be all over that

I think you are a total nut! no offense of coarse! Well because she is defianantly the type of person who would want to have sex. I picked up on that in the first book and I am suprised you didn't. It was sooooooo obvious. Also I understand why she didn't want either of them to go even if they were both strong enough to handle it. She loved both of them and they thought of someone I love leaving to fight someone who might be just as strong as them and not knowing when and or if they'd be back. So she is a fault there. She did make me a little confused when she refused to marry him the first time in the book that they were discussing it in Eclipse.

i was angry with her, but not because of her need for sex. It was because she was being a total jerk to both Edward and Jacob. Especially about the marriage thing.. she couldnt have been a bigger jerk.

I wasn't annoyed or angered by her at all. I mean, it is a bit unfair to want two people at the same time, but can we really relate unless we've been in love with two people who've saved our lives over and over? I thought it was about time for something a little less PG to take place between Bella and Edward. And, well, who wants to be a virgin their whole human life? I loved the part where she said she would spontaneously combust one of these days ^_^

And about the marriage thing, she's only being the way she is because of her experience with her parents - she sees 'marriage' as just a quick decision people make, because of how her mother is. She's willing to make an immortal commitment to Edward; that's pretty huge. Still, though, I think that them getting married is just so adorable, and very important. And kudos to Edward for holding on to his virtue xD; I am already dying for the next book!

I was sorta disappointed in her during this book. She was all hormones, and was like she NEEDED to have sex.

I didn't care about the near-sex-scene.

I agree with you, Bella was being outragously selfish and out of character.

I agree. I didn't mind her sex-drive, what really bugged me is how selfish she has become. She seems to just be pushing Edward into things he doesn't want, things he cannot do for her right now. He's made it so desperatly clear. She has to let Jacob go, if she truley loves Edward, she must give as much thanks as possiable, but tell him she cannot hurt Edward like he keeps pushing on her to do. I know he has saved her, but it was by choice. She has to realize she cannot love two people at once. Stop hurting both of them, that is also not fair.
I also agree how she didn't tust that they could handle their own on the battlefeild. I understand the fact that she loved them, and didn't want to see them hurt, but how else is she going to survive? By sending someone she doesnt really care about out to fight for her? and be more selfish, and hurting someone else's family? She's definatly not being fair, I could go on, but i've probably already made someone mad...i tend to be good at that.

Exactly, I wouldn't have minded a sex scene, but really, Edwards merely telling her that it's not safe, but she keeps pushing him- and when he's ready, she changes her mind. And when all he wants is for her to marry him, Really! How could you refuse a proposal from Edward Cullen?

She was being selfish and unfair- I always had seen her as a fairly mature and selfless character.

perpetual_insanity_1213 I would also like to know how it was "sooooooo obvious". Because, apparently I'm not the only one who didn't think it was.

Hmm, I guess your right. My parents didn't get devorced untill I was 10 and married old, so I probablly just don't get it because I've had a different situation.

Still- she's eager enough to become a vampire so she can spend eternity with him, would marriage commitment be that much bigger of a step?

Bella did get on my nerves at times like when she expected to have both Jacob and Edward that made me mad!

I did not blame her sex drive I meen this is Edward Cullens we are talking about! And + she got her hopes up with the bed and rolling about and the way he held her she felt that he wanted to.

I did not blame the crying I meen she would be upset to leave Jacob, but how she just balled in front of Edward was kind of dumb I meen you got a guy that loves you and would die for you.

Last I did not think she should have gone and see Jacob that much I meen would any of your BF's like you holding hands with another guy that they HATED???????
