Home is a precious thing, especially to those whom have laid among the familiar reefs and stones for too long. An underwater sancutary, the ruins of an ancient city that humans called home, now give life to the creatures of Neptunes' kingdom. Splashes of color decorated the archways and buildings forzen in time as coral grew upon the stoney surfaces. Schools of jeweled fish darted this way and that, scales rippling in the sunlight. Seaweed danced to the oceans' music, hiding the caves that led to this peaceful place; however, that was no the only thing protecting this city. A shadow shifted across the walls and towers, a large being weaving a long, serpentine body amid the maze. A glint of silver bounced off the formal headgear that the great wyrm wore upon his head as he glanced this way and that. Threading the waters, Muir could feel something coming but he could not tell what it was. Flaring the fin on his head to full length, he bellowed a challange to any enemy that may threaten his home.

The creature who’s presence he had felt, whether by scent or by the feel of the ripples her passage was causing, smiled at the bellow. She knew that voice, nbot well but she knew it and she’d been searching for its owner for a day or two now. She’d expected to be at it a while longer bit it seemed as though the Lady of the four leafed clover was with her today.
Slowing to a halt, Ayomide opened her jaws and bugled a peaceful response to the male’s challenge.

That cry, he knew that cry! Warmth filled his body as Muir twisted himself through the waters towards the voice. He shifted through one of the caves that hid an entrance to his territory and emerged from the thick cloud of seaweed blocking the opening.
At the sight of the spotted female, Muir gave a friendly rumble before swimming closer to her. Stopping, he nodded in welcome.
"Ayomide, it's been a while. Welcome to my home." He motined towards the cliff-face behind him, headgear glimmering in the sun.

Ayomide watched the other wyrm approach her and gave a mental shiver. He was even more magnificent under water, in his element, than he had been in their static conversation on the surface. How long ago had that been now?... She wasn’t sure, she’d never been good at keeping track of time but it had been a little while; long enough for Lock to hit a few towns along the river’s banks and plenty of time for the gold-haired half-elf to give her a good teasing about the blue creature that approached. That’d teach her to make fun of him when he spotted somebody that took his fancy… Well actually it probably wouldn’t but that was fine; she liked to tease her biped companion and to be teased in return.
“Thank you Muir,” the spotted female replied with a smile and a graceful nod of her head. Looking around, she added; “your home is beautiful; I see why you were missing it inland...” After a moment or two, the sinuous creature turned her eyes from the ruins back to the other wyrm. “You look well,” she commented as she took in his glimmering adornments.

Muir watched the female, his headgear hiding the expression of awe on his face; Ayomide looked beautiful, even more than she had on the surface. Shifting slightly, Muir gave a soft nod and a smile at her before motioning to follow. "You are quite welcome, M'lady." Clutching the archway underneath, Muir managed to stay in place as he spoke. "I thank you for your compliments, and yes, I have been well...but..." He trailed off somewhat before staring back into her eyes. "I've missed you, perhaps it was the fates that led us together again?"

Ayomide smiled faintly at the other wyrm’s words and made a non-committal gesture with her tail. “I don’t know about fates,” she elaborated, “but I’m certainly glad to see you again Muir. I didn’t feel we really got a chance to talk last time we met… do you perhaps have somewhere we could go that is a bit less exposed than open water? I would enjoy the chance to get to know you better.”
She’d never been sure what she thought of the idea of fate but she did believe in the existence of a certain green Lady whose favourite sounds were the rattling of dice and the silence that hung over a card table. Perhaps it was She that had seen to a second meeting or perhaps Muir was right and it was fated. Either way she didn’t much mind; for one reason or another be it natural, fated or the work of the Lady she had a chance to get to know another water wyrm. Come to think of it, he was the first she’d met since leaving the place she had grown up in… Perhaps she would even tell him of her oddness, he didn’t seem as though he would mind.

"Certainly! Follow me, I know of a good place we can talk." Pushing himself off of his seat, the serpent-like wyrm swam over to what was once a temple to an unknown god. It was big enough for both wyrms to fit inside; pushing aside the rocks to enlarge the opening, Muir swam inside with Ayomide close behind.
"I'm sorry about the mess; if I had know you were coming, I would have tidied up." Curling up on a pile of smooth boulders, Muir cast a grin at Ayomide. "Please, take a seat anywhere, Ayo."

The spotted water serpent smiled and, sinking to the ruined floor, coiled herself into a comfortable knot. “Not at all Muir,” she replied with a slight shake of her head. “I think it looks wonderful as it is; you needn’t change how things are on my account.” She would rather see him for what he was than for what he thought she would like and chose to show.
“I do like your adornments,” the tan female added after a moment, raising the top of her body up to take a better look. “I might have to look into getting myself some trinkets.” She’d have to take them off on the occasions that she went to assist Lock with a ‘job’ but that wasn’t a big deal. “I wonder what metal would suit me best,” she mused aloud, peering down at her speckled form thoughtfully.

Muir gave a deep laugh, threading some loose stones between his talons. "Perhaps, but it doesn't hurt to tidy up once in a while."
Cocking his head slightly at her next words, the male wyrm arched his neck a bit so that the light reflected better off the silver gear. "Thank you, I found them when I returned here a couple of days ago." He scanned the ruined temple, looking for something that may be lying among the rocks. "I believe gold would look beautiful on you, much better than silver."

Ayomide coiled herself up once more, nodding slightly as she did so. “Yes, gold, I think gold might do quite well.” Gold, copper, bronze; some richly hued metal or other for sure. Perhaps she would have to encourage Lock to keep his eyes peeled for small items in each of the colours so that they could set them against her and decide which would make her look the best. Flashy adornments were worn by biped females to attract a mate, perhaps the same would work for her. Definitely something to look into and what better time to start than now?
“Lock,” she called to the thread between herself and her half elf, “Lock be a dear and keep your eyes open for things in gold, copper, bronze and similar. I’m thinking about prettifying myself and I need to pick a metal.”
It seemed that the blond creature was busy doing what he did best, i.e. taking things that didn’t belong to him, for the only response she got was a vague noise of assent. “I have my bonded looking out for little things in gold and other metals to try against me,” she told Muir with a smile, neglecting to mention that the green-eyed man would not be paying for them. It would be best, she felt, to get a feel for his allegiances before letting him know she and her bonded were thieves. He didn’t seem like the stuffy type but law abiders lurked everywhere as traps for the unwary thief. Best to leave it until she knew him quite a bit better.
