Seriously, it's been like 6 months+ and it's still on episode 52...Did the anime just stop for good?

In autumn this year there will be Tsubasa Chronicle OAV (3 episodes).

FAQ Sticky Q: Why aren't more episodes being released? Is Season 2 over? When does season 3 start? A: Season 2 has ended. Season 3 was meant to air in April 2007, but was cancelled due to CLAMP's dissatisfaction with the anime, and later parts of the story being too tragic to air on the network which showed Tsubasa. The TV series is over, there are no more episodes.
There's a three part OVA coming in November, as Marusera said, which promises to be much better than the anime series. Or you could read the manga.
