This is for Suggestions that could help expand the story line or help the guild grow. I love Suggestions, so if you have one, put it here!

Oo! I just thought of something while staring at the different sections of the RP. Why don't we have pictures of the places in the first post? For example the student dorms can have a picture of what we think the dorms should look like. Granted it would take a while for us to gather a picture for each one of the treads, but a lot of the people in this thread like to draw. I'm sure that we could eventually do this... eventually being the key word.

I like your style, kid.
Haha, really. That's a good idea. I'll look into it and see if we can't wrangle up some of these artists here to do some of this. :3

I have an idea...
I think that there should be a thread for when people are going to be away for a while. Like if there going to be gone for a period of time, they post it in there, and how long.

I was wondering if there would be any that we could mark our posts so the readers of the rp would not be confused too much about the thread hopping. Something to the effect of all members having to state where they are leaving to at what Roleplay time. This sounds really beuracratic, but I think it may work. If not, then everything's still hunky-dorry.
Ex: ((So-and-So has entered the Library. 3:30 RP Time.))
Feeling no particular desire to look up his designated assignment, So-and-So decided (rather eagerly) to skip out of his last class and return to his dorm-room before Weapon's Class began.
((So-and-So has exited to his Dorm Room. 3:33 RP Time.))
This way, it would be easier to maintain the flow and follow of said character in the story, clearing any confusion of where he/she went at what specific time frame. Like I said, I'm merely spitballing, and the more I type, the more weird it sounds. ;-;

I have to admit I was wondering about that myself, but I had thought that Laureka would have some sort of system worked out for that.
The problem with so-and-so saying they leave at 3:30 and arrive in their dorm at 3:33 is that doing so puts them in control of the time flux. I think the passage of time should be in the hands of the GMs.

I've found in helpfull when someone in charge (like the GMs) posted what time it was every once in a while. Or maybe in the first post with the picture there could be a time posted that people could refer back to if needed. Otherwise people have a tendancy to take time and run with it causing days to pass in a single post.

Which is exactly what I was trying to address. That simply isn't fair to give one person that kind of power. They might as well have an ocarina and flawlessly play The Sun Song.

You all have good points...
first yes because of the multiple threads for the different location we will need to inform readers where our characters go...
example:
Akakage arrived in his class and prepared his lessons for today...
After class he decided to sleep in the courtyard so he teleported there...
this would be still posted in the class room portion because he is going there and not at that location yet...
Now about the time, Giga you do have a very good point there... I'm going to be honest I don't believe we'll govern time by minute to minute but more like after each class type of deal.... and we'll go by the schedule...
example:
Akakage finished his class and told all the students to go to Silver's class five minutes early...
This makes it so everyone who enters her classroom is early because I said so...
You guys get it? Of course I understand not everything will go by the class schedules but if your character is not in the designated class at that time then in that same time you can do whatever in a different area... but ultimately you won't be able to progress into different sections of the rp without knowing that it started or not... unless you just want to watch everyone RP while you say your character is skipping class...then all the power to you... biggrin

My idea is this: We have a thread named "Time Shift Alerts," or just "Alerts," or whatever. In this thread, Laureka or a GM will post when classes are changing, or time has progress to x hours, or a major plot development is about to take place, etc.
To increase effectiveness, all Role Players should keep the another window open to the "House of Bricks Role Play" sub-forum, and refresh the page every minute or so, just so they can see where all the action is happening, and when someone has posted something new in the "Alerts" thread.

That's a really good idea but obviously we'll need to work on the specifics on it still... but that would be interesting and yes it would be a necessity for any rper to keep refreshing the page the sub forum to keep up with the RP.
I'll bring it up with Laureka... An alert thread hmm...
