What it is right...
So at the moment we still have no internet in the house that we are trapped in, its coming soon so we will be updating this alot more.
So far we have written a good few tunes and theres still more to come, we're always thinking see!
At the moment we have too many messages a day to reply to all of them but we will try and reply to the tidy ones.

Cat Cat Cat.......meeeoowwww
Quick update, more songs, going well, big house.
It seems as though we are losing fan sites left right and centre. I have no idea why this is. Cat from DN has gone, but i dont think she liked us by the end of it anyway, we can come across as cunts sometimes. We do totally love and appreciate everything she did though. She was a star, and we wish her well with her shouty music. Its more manly and hard.
As for the others then im at a loss, if anyone wants to mail us and tell us why then we'd appreciate it. Also if you need donations then hit us up and we'll see what we can do. We all live in golden palaces now didnt you know?
We are awaiting.....

The other side....
We recieved this in our inbox this morning, which made the day seem a lot brighter. X
I saw that blog that was deleted about the girl that died. something that the band was indirectly correlated with. but for a life lost, the band is also responsible indirectly for a life saved.
"a little over a year ago i was sitting in my car on a cliff that overlooked the entire city convinced that if this was what my life was, to go on with it would be ridiculous. to spare the textbook story drawn out into a cheap made for TV movie script i will make what led up to that brief. long before that night, i had been sexually assualted that spiraled into this depression, fear, and lonely isolation. and for some reason, i got into my head that it would last forever.
and i sat in that car drinking and taking pills thinking, its so quiet here in the mountains. so damn quiet. i turned to my backseat to get my cd's to play music and realized i had left all my music at home. but there was a cd back there. some cd that someone had left in my car. so i put it on just so i couldn't hear myself think. and just about when i get every memory and plan i had before things fell apart out of my head to focus on the music and drinking, this ******** song called hello again comes on.
i kept replaying it getting pissed off. every plan i had in life got literally and metaphorically ********. i wasn't going to let some song change my last attempt to make a choice and go through with it. and i was mostly pissed because i knew already that my life was not going to change due to family, friends, religion, therapy, or some anti-depressant. it was going to change because of a song. a ******** song.
and it did. in the duration of a song. and later when i was up in utah at a big a** show, i was standing next to a guy on stilts dressed as death looking up to the stage thinking, well ******** me, what a weird turn of events.
while i don't share this story, after reading that blog, i figured if i was going to, the band should be the people to read it. and whatever member reads this, i hope you trip as you walk away form your computer feeling all good about yourself so i am not the only one that feels like an idiot.

Mike C has left.
Some of you may know, others may not, but Mike C has left Lostprophets. A press release was issued friday and word should be spreading now. Nothing to stress over though, the split was friendly and cool. We were heading one way and he wanted to go try some other things. Like i have said on the forums, we are on our way to bat country, and he really wants to check out kangaroo island. Title says it all really. Split was fine, all good. We are friends before bandmates and nothing will ever change that. He just wanted to try out some different stuff etc. Everyone was cool about it. Also it will give everyone a nice scapegoat when the next album comes out and it isnt what they want it to be.
Cue shouts of "since mike left they went s**t" etc. It will fit nicely in with
1. "since they remixed fsop they went s**t"
2. "since jamie gave up turntables they went s**t"
3 " since they released SS they went s**t"
We have all grown up together so our understanding is deeper than the band. We are friends before bandmates. Anyway, here's the official release:
"Lostprophets regret to announce the departure of drummer and founding member Mike Chiplin from the band.
As the lads have all grown up together, the departure is an amicable one with Mike leaving to pursue other musical opportunities."
The group are currently writing the follow up to their 'Start Something' LP and plan to begin recording their new album shortly which will be released early 2006."

War of the worlds
If you havent seen it, then dont bother reading this. But it bugged me so much i had to post something about it.
Surely if you spend a million years planning something as big as a full world take over then you would cover every outcome?
"Wait a minute guys, what if we arent immune to earths little bacteria and stuff? Shouldnt have an answer for every contigency? And if there are things we are unsure of shouldnt we wear exo-skeletons or something just incase? I mean we have been planning and studying this world for near a million years now, yknow. "Nah, dont worry, lets just go down and explore old houses with no suits and drink from old broken taps"
The one thing this film showed was the age of the story. An alien exploration 'eye' that doesnt have a heat sensor? Wait a minute, surely being that advanced, the tripods would have a heat sensor which would pick up Tim Robbins and the other two? "Yup there are three humans in there, go and kill them would ya?" "No, i have a better idea, il put our camera thing down there with two lights either side, so it can light up the dark! That will have a much better chance of finding someone!"
This movie, this story, in this day and age has so many flaws and holes its hard to take it seriously. Do you really think that no one would have picked up massive tripod things buried all over the world? Thermal scans? Constant satallite imagery? Building development?
Such a dissapointment. Completely retarded.
So to sum up, "super advanced" aliens, that dont have thermal sensors and spend a million years planning something but still overlook little things.
Look, if im gonna pay money to see aliens take over our ******** world, then i want to see them do it properly. Not some half assed attempt, where they suddenly die because of some vague reference to bacteria. They didnt plan it for ten years, not a hundred, not a thousand, not a hundred thousand, but a million. Think of how much you can plan in a million years. There would be no chance of an oversight, especially one as big as, '******** we are all dead cause of bacteria'. It just simply wouldnt ******** happen! Advanced technology, but no basic thermal imaging that most emergency services have now. Burying ships for a million years, and not advancing ur technology one bit in that time. Imagine burying a car now, and thinking 'i will use that in a million years' and expect it to be up to date. So many stupid things, i could go on and on. Bottom line is, that the story was old, and there was no need to remake it.

So.....
Sorry we havent updated in a while. Things are going well, still writing and finishing up a lot of musical songs. We have a producer locked down for the record and we are pretty close to knowing who will be drumming on it also. As for other stuff, sorry if youve added us and we havent clicked approve yet, we just havent had time and i think there is now a backlog of about 6000. I wish they would invent a button to just add everyone, cause the thought of going through 6000 people ten at a time is kinda daunting. Suffice to say it WILL be done, just have patience. In the meantime keep adding and keep it coming. Lewis is in the new AP talking about Refused, and Jamie is in the new Equestrian monthly talking about stud farms.

I dont know if its us being retarded, or that myspace is a horribly coded piece of s**t but.......the button to post a new blog no longer exsists on our home page. I have to go to the url to post one. Is this right? One of you scene kids must know!!
Also when im trying to add the backlog of friends, its fine for a while, but then suddenly it only starts showing up 4 people a page, then 3, then 2, then each page of friends just consists of one person. Anyone know anything about this s**t?? Was it coded in Wackistan?

Update...
We have too many good songs at the moment. Came to LA with 25. Scrapped 5. Wrote 1. Need 12. This is a problem. Arguments will ensue.
Weird thing is over half of them wont make it on to the album. Im sure sometime in the future you guys will hear them, but for now, its down to us and our wisdom to decide which ones we would like to meet your ears. Nuts huh??
Also somebody make us a banner and post that s**t everywhere. Just use a variation of our new default pic. Whoever does this will be recognized and rewarded by us and our police force.

Wacka wacka wack
Not much to add, got a load of pics that we will post at some point. My hair is really long and pissing me off. Still have way too many songs, this album should be cracking though. Kinda sounds like usher crossed with slayer. We are gonna call it slusher.
On another note, please for ******** sake stop sending emails asking to join a group or invites to some other thing. Until someone explains the benefit of these things to me, im not gonna accept them. And they just fill up our inbox and take away from the hot chicks.

OMG, WTF!! NEW UPDATE!!!
As it stands, we are finishing up tracking bass. We are currently in Sunset Sound Studios, in the room that Zep and the Stones recorded. We tracked drums in 2 days which was nuts. We take 2 weeks off, fly back to the uk for Stus wedding, then back to LA, then on to Maui to do the rest. Should take around 5 weeks. We spent more time writing and arranging this time, than last. I mean on SS we were in the studio for 6 months, whereas this time it will amount to just over 2. But like i said, last time we didnt write much before hand, so a lot was written in the studio whereas this time we are just here recording everything and having fun. We are tracking 13 songs, so if we dont like any of them we dont have any back up! haha. Its been hard getting a total of around 40 songs down to 13, but i know for sure that all the ones that didnt make it will turn up at some point in the next year or so. Then everyone can tell us how those songs should have been on the album instead.
At this point, its hard to know what the record is going to sound like. All we are sure of is that we picked the 13 songs that we all liked the best and felt were the strongest. Some of it sounds similar, some of it is different, but you can tell its us. I have no doubt that people arent gonna be into some of it, but thats just how it is. You cant make a fine fine omelete without breaking some fragile blinkered eggs.
Did an in studio piece for AP a few days ago also so keep an eye out for that (those of you in the states).
