I seriously think we need Nagas and Centaurs. Also, Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. As far as playable goes, that is. Anyway, just an idea to get things going. Feel free to contradict.

We have Elves, dwarves, and....damn it, I forgot, go the original thread in the OOC, I have an updated storyline. It has the last things we spoke of all organized and stuff. Now all we need is everyone to go through it, and we edit it as we please. Then we give me the finished outline, and I'll post a giant block of text on the sotryline subforum.
Click the T on the world Updated to get to the finished outline. You probably saw it the 1st time around, but just to make sure.

These are the ones that I suggested before.
Harpy
A race of half bird half human beings that was, at one time, considered to be nothing more than a race monsters. However, because of their adaptation to the world around them and their ability to build an society, they are seen as a respectful people. While half of the race lives on land, the other half lives in the sea and are more commonly known as Siren.
Siren have the ability to sing songs that will attract members of the opposite sex or the target of their choice to them, however, some are more capable than others. They are all capable of using magic that allows them to take on a more human appearance.
Their population is primarily composed of females, as males are very rare. Any males that are born are treasured and are usually married to more than one mate, in order to keep the race in existence.
Elves
Elves reside primarily in forests. They are, like the dragons, thought to be stuck up and self righteous, but that is far from the truth. Their only wish is to be left out of the ongoing conflicts in the world, and to continue their existence in peace. This, however, doesn't mean that they are oblivious to whats going on in the world around them. As a people, elves are very in tune with nature, and have more advanced magic than that of even dragons. They, however, are more traditional in their way of life, opting to use only the minimal of what technology has to offer in their society.
Dark Elves
Deep within the dark caverns of the mountains is where they reside, living amongst themselves in isolation so that they only have to worry about their own affairs. They are a very private people, and as such, it's very rare that you meet one outside of their secluded villages. Other than their physical appearance, there are very few differences between themselves and the Elves of the forest. In dark elven society, females are the dominant sex holding higher positions than males.
Volacticus
Volacticus look very much like humans, yet they tend to have much more grace in their appearance. What is the difference between themselves and humans? They have wings which grow from their shoulder blades. In youth, they are unable to hid their wings from view, because of their inexperience in magic. As they grow older, they gain the ability to hide their wings by drawing them back into their bodies. They are unlike Humans in that they tend to live longer, and have greater capabilities for growth when it comes to combat.

Volacticusess[is there a plural for it?] are killable through normal means, right? Also, if they can grow wings, and fly[I assume], what would their drawback be?

I vote for only four kingdoms. Human, Elven, Dwarfic, and Naga/Centaur/Harpy.

I'm sure we can add the Volacticus in that list too, we could have them hang out with the elves.
EDIT:

xd
They're weakness would be arrows, like flying units in Fire Emblem. And then there are area's where they can't fly, such as buildings, that would put them at a disadvantage if they abuse their abilities in battles.
And yes, they are killable through normal means. They can take a little more than humans though.
And the way I saw it was more like -
Human/Volacticus, Elven, Dark Elven/Dwarfic, and Naga/Centaur/Human.

I was thinking:
Kingdom [insert name]: Humans
Kingdom [insert name]: Elven/Volacticus.
Kingdom [insert another name]: Dwarves/Centaur
Kingdom[insert name again]: Naga/Dark elf/
We could have it be lore that Humanity believes it is higher in status than the other races, so that is why it has its own kingdom. The Elves and Volacti[we need a plural for that] were spin offs of humanity, they both resemble humans, but have different features. Dwarves and Centuar would be the tougher races, so they have befriended each other after seeing that several wars would not solve who is the toughest. The final kingdom could be smaller than the rest, but be some sort of big island. It appears small on the surface, where the Dark elves live, and under the island is where the naga live.

Volacticus is Latin for winged people. Volacti sounds like a good plural.
Humans normally do have that arrogance about them, so that I can understand.
I, however, believe that the monster races would stick together, and the Dwarfs and the Dark Elves would stem from mountains and the Elves have a since of arrogance about them as well but...I guess the Volacti are better than the humans. They would kind of have to be.

Then for the races I propose:
Humanity would be a jack of all trades, but master of none.
Elven would excel at ranged combat, as well as have a "detect Magic" ability. Though elves would not be particularly 'buff', and fail at close range combat. Would have a higher resistance to Electricity.
Volacti: Exceptionally skilled in air combat, as well as having a higher resistance to Wind/air magic. having strong offensive capabilities, but poor defensive skills. Weak against Anti-air[arrows].
Dwarven: Incredible at close range combat, and able to take a beating. The Dwarves would have a higher resistance to earth magic. Weak against most other types of magic.
Centaur: Fast moving and relatively strong, the centaur would have to rely on dodging enemy attacks, since it would have to sacrifice armor for its speed. Resistance to earth. Weak against most types of attacks.
Naga: Quick moving in water, but slow on land, the Naga would have stronger defenses, both magic-wise and weapon-wise, they posses very weak physical attacks. In addition to their heightened magic resistance, they are resilient to water magic.
Dark Elf: Much different than their other elven cousins, the dark elves have stronger melee capabilities, as well as stronger defenses, and quick feet. Though magic damage dealt to them will cause havoc within their ranks.
That's what I propose. As for the way races interact, I'll leave that to you now, I just blindly threw some suggestions at you.
EDIT: The naga have a weaker physical attack. I forgot to add that.

I suppose we could do away with the Harpy race.
I like your strengths and weaknesses. I'll give relations some more thought.

Dunno. That girl in charge of the elements just vanished, I'm sure Reed[HAIL REED!!!] will come back in some time. That guy that wanted Wood to be by itself vanished too. I hope we all come back at some point though.
