Description: Appears of a rather sturdy build on first sight. (actually wearing several layers of heavy clothing including a heavy coat on top [Russian-esque]) His outfits vary from a brown color to a deep red. He tends to have a dreamy expression on his face and never seems wholly present even when speaking to you. Although very kind he carries a constant frown upon his brow. His words are always thought out and well chosen. His manners are usually gentle and slight just as his voice is quiet and supportive of his reserved manner. His form seems to change when speaking to a large group and he seems electrified in his public speaking.
Backstory: He is known to possess some blood relation to the ruling family of a once large empire, ruling even Gulthiac, that has long since waned in power. He was chased out a long time ago and proclaimed inelligable for the throne by relatives in his youth. When his life became threatened he fled to the Cathedral and away from any royal jurisdiction. Since his arrival he has become removed from secular life altogether as an adviser, teacher. He has been well educated in both administrative abilities and military affairs as any young noble but now contents himself with the helping and protecting the lives of others.

Character Name: Dr. Hans Fredrick Benson
Species: Human
Alignment: Neutral. Leans towards evil.
Melee Weapon: Lazers and bionic arms as long as he has his special armor.
Goal: To take knowledge from this world for the purpose of revenge in his own.
Description: A tall, lanky and pale scientist with gray hair and is just beginning to bald. He wears specialized mechanical armor over his stereotypical white labcoat. The armor extends from his chest covering the entirety of his arms and head. It comes equipped with a jetpack, a matter displacer (for teleporting) and a variety of other nasty surprises.
Backstory: Rather young for a doctor, Dr. Benson was diagnosed as being a genius since his youth. As such, he was privileged to go to major schools and universities during his youth. Pressure from both his parents and the community forced him to become obsessed with success and he spent much of his time studying and working. For a while, it seemed that Dr. Benson would become a medical hero to his community until his father became ill with a mutated virus. With his father's life hanging in the balance, it was up to Dr. Benson to once again prove his value and superiority to the community and save his father in one fell swoop. The only problem was that Dr. Benson was having trouble finding the cure... and his father was in extremely poor health. Desperate to produce quicker results, Dr. Benson implemented inhumane medical research to find a cure. Random people throughout the community were going missing and a search began to find the culprit. It was during this time, both with the mounting pressure for success and the worry brought on by the investigations that started Dr. Benson's slide from sanity. When officials finally tracked the bodies to Dr. Benson's lab, they were horrified to see that their once docile townsfolk had been mutated and destroyed as a result of Dr. Benson's testing. Benson's father passed away shortly after hearing of the incident and the town turned on Dr. Benson as a result. Dr. Benson would have been arrested and taken to trial but a giant fairy attacked the town at that moment. Realizing his chance for escape, Dr. Benson fled and vowed revenge on the people who had betrayed him. They just didn't understand the importance of science. On his way out, however, Dr. Benson was lucky enough to stumble onto a small trace of fairy dust. He plans to implement it along with his other machinery and discoveries in this new world to extract revenge on those who have wronged him.

Character Name: ‘Shasta’
Species: Human

Goal: Seeking a cure for an affliction while avoiding those who wish to kill him.
Description: Shasta is a subject of mystery shrouded by layers of tangled deceit, right down to his appearance. His hair is dark and long, about shoulder length, obscuring his almost emaciated facial features that would cause alarm in some were they more clearly visible. His clothes are loose-fit and drab; dull gray pants with tattered ends resting over dull gray boots. A dull gray vest and tattered cloak loosely hang from broad shoulders. The only items of color would be a faded olive green sash, t-shirt, and a bandana used to hold his hair in place. A second bandana is tied around his neck. His arms are wrapped in old bandages, stained in a few spots w/ blood, tucked under gray leather gloves held at the wrists by metal braces. This subject is unlikely to draw attention in the streets, even from beggars.
Backstory: ‘Shasta’ is no orphan though it’d almost be better if he were. Family members wish to kill him while his father, who is just as despicable, wishes to protect him. Additionally, he’s almost always a wanted criminal by various law enforcement agencies, bounty hunters, and religious zealots for the thieving of things from petty items to spiritual relics to rare chemicals. The motivation of these crimes began as a search for a cure for a poison his mother used to murder him. His real name is Iasion Phrixus, but goes by an alias for obvious reasons. Shasta is what you may call him by, for now. None of this information will ever be divulged by him willingly.
