Poetry is one of my hobbies. I'm not that good but I wrote a poem and I felt like sharing it. Its dedicated to my best friend who passed away. ~:Living on:~
Death is a sad and beautiful event,
Its where we celebrate the life well spent.
I may not get to see her for a while,
but I know in my heart, where I can smile,
That the departed is not gone forever,
They moved on, on from this endeavor.
We may not see those that passed on,
But we can sing in our hearts like a joyest song,
She lives, she lives, she just moved on.

That kind is usually the best kind, at least for me. My poems are always better when I put a part of me in it.

This is my first post on here ever so I hope it's a good one...
I sit and stare looking up at the stars above
Thinking and dreaming about the one I love
And how she is on my mind every night and day
I just wish that I could find the right words to say
I laugh about how her laugh makes me laugh and sigh
Wishing and hoping it was only her and I
But something inside says it was never meant to be
And how she truly deserves a better guy than me
My sins have kept me back from saying how I feel
I just wish I knew what was fake and what was real
My heart beats like it tries to escape from my chest
I see her face in my dreams everytime I rest
I just wish that time would stop everytime we hug
Her warmth all around me's an intoxicating drug
Her breath upon my ear sends shivers down my spine
I hope and pray one day that angel can be mine
My love for you burns as bright as the noon day sun
And if we're together we'll build our own Zion
If you just return my love maybe then you'll see
I'll love you forever and all eternity

Haha... *scratches head* Thanks for the compliment. I wish that poem was for a specific girl though. I'm just one of those hopeless romantics who likes to write poems about that one girl who is out there somewhere.

Artemis Simetra Haha... *scratches head* Thanks for the compliment. I wish that poem was for a specific girl though. I'm just one of those hopeless romantics who likes to write poems about that one girl who is out there somewhere. :p Then you can say that you are preparing for the girl! I bet in the future, whoever will be your girlfriend is sure going to love poems like that. I know I would. I'm a big poetry lover.

This one's not so much a poem but a song I wrote
What’s wrong with me? Why do I see, that I can never be whole?
As long as I stand here, hoping, waiting, for my true love to fill up my soul
But I know I’ll be standing here, watching my friends pass me by
With a guy in her hands, with a girl in his arms, so why, oh why cant I?
I see her walking and talking with her closest friend
Knowing that her true love will not be me in the end
And even though I am there, lifting her up day by day
Ill just be the friend, so these are the words that I say
Ill do anything for you to just notice me
Ill say anything if only to just make you see

^-^ Poetry is so awesome. My poems hardly ever rhyme. I don't know how to explain them, I guess I just like the way the words sound together?
Like this:
I saw
the darkness
start to consume me
I felt
the darkness
leave
when I was with you
I tasted
the new sweetness
of the air around me
I heard
your voice
laughing so happily
we laughed together so happily
and
I wished
that moment
would last forever

That;s an awesome poem Link. All the poems shared have been great. I liked Vin's and Art's. All the poems seemed to have come from the heart (hey, I rhymed!).
Anyway, smoe more people should share if they want to, or you last 3 keep sharing. They are great to read.
