Welcome to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour! We sell all kinds of ice cream, both soft serve and hard, in cones (suger or plain) or in dishes, and sundaes.

Bryce entered the ice cream palor, setting his shopping bags down at a nearby table. He had finally gotten some new robes, Bryce had been growing like a weed and his old ones were several inches too short. Bryce approched the counter and read over all the flavors of ice cream with interest.

Iridessa followed Bryce into the ice cream parlor, her face still blank and her eyes still tinted with sadness. She scanned the list of ice creams.

"I think I'll try the Coffee flavored ice cream." Bryce decided. "What would you like?" He asked Iridessa as she scanned the many flavors. "And I'm buying. No arguements." He insisted. "This is your day."

Iridessa didn't object to Bryce treating her. She wasn't much in the mood to argue anyway. "Pepermint Stick." She said taking her eyes from the sign and watching buy the ice cream. "Thanks." She added. "For everything."

Bryce nodded and ordered two ice creams. He handed her the peppermint stick cone. "So." He began. "If you wanna talk I'm here to listen, or if you wanna talk about something else we can do that too." He offered licking his ice cream a few times.

Iridessa remained silent for a moment, eating her ice cream. "He was the person I always turned to when I was upset or worried." Iridessa began hoarsely. "Now hes gone." She felt like crying but no tears came, her eyes were dry now. "We weren't like normal brothers and sisters, we got along really well, he taught me how to play quidditch and make bullies puke slugs.." She said with a small smile on her face as she recalled all the memories.

Bryce smiled and listened to her as she recollected her pastimes with her brother. "Sounds like a great man." Bryce spoke softly when she'd finished. He could sense she wanted to talk about something else to he changed the subject. "So are you any good at quidditch?" Bryce asked finishing his ice cream.

Iridessa smiled slightly and nodded. "Better than you." She teased suddenly feeling like her old self again. "I'm a beater for Ravenclaw." She added finishing her ice cream and tossing her napkin into the rubbish bin.

Bryce's eyebrows raised. "Really? I'm Seeker. Seasons starting up soon so we'll have practices." He replied as they walked down the street near the ice cream parlor. "At least we have that to look forward to. I can't wait." He added stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Wow thats cool." Said Iridessa, glad to finally meet someone who shared her interests. "I'm looking forward to the season starting too. It'll give us a nice distraction from 6th year potions class." Iridessa added.

Bryce nodded. "Yeah its getting brutal." He admited as they walked down the cobbled pathway. "I must admit I never pictured you as a beater, always seemed more like a chaser." Bryce admited. "You better do a good job of protecting me." He teased looking down at Iridessa, trying to imagine such a small girl as a beater.

"You." She teased wrinkling her nose and hurrying along the path ahead of him. "It's my day so I declare that we play some one on one quidditch." She announced heading back the way to the castle. "Think you can handle it?"
