Hey guys. I was keeping this under wraps for a while, but seeing as the Guild is almost totally dead and there's finally another Tomoe fan, I'll let you in on a secret...

This summer, aside from being an English teacher in Florence and sitting around in Vienna, I've been working on a collaborative doujinshi with mAni that will be sold at a Kyoto Hime/Otome convention in September. After we finish the Japanese version I plan to make an English translation that will also go on sale. I haven't yet decided how to do this, because I don't want to see our art just become 4chan fodder. D:

I suppose there's no stopping that eventually, but I did spend almost every second of my spare time slaving away at this, and my partner nearly went crazy trying to find time to work on it, so it would be nice it we could legitimately sell some. Since he's the one who's made a doujin before I'm letting him handle all the printing/pricing stuff, so I can't say how much it'll be. Not expensive, though.

Anyway, on with the previews:


These are all from my half of the doujin, mAni is also drawing half. We were hoping to have it completed to sell at the convention in Osaka this month, but we underestimated the time it takes to draw that many pages. =P So instead, we're giving out a small pamplet with omake like these:

"Tina" is our mascot, so I thought it would be fun to introduce her in the omake. =P And yes, our doujin circle name is "Closet"... lol, don't look at me. Mani picked it. I think it's because I told him that "Garderobe" means "closet" in German and I joked about all the students there being "in the closet..."

Technically, Erstin's name can be also written as Elstin. So, Elstin Ho= Holstein...

.. she layed an egg thats interesting. but seriously i love your art style it's very clean(if that makes any sense.) i'd really like to see more of your work. i also like the whole tomoe/nina thing. not somthing i would have thought of at all but thats what makes it all the more interesting. well good luck with your doujini(sp?) and i hope you post some more samples. biggrin

website huh...well when you guys create it pm me or something i'd love to check it out.
nao/natsu...hmmm as you can see i'm a shiznat person but, i'm always up for different ideas and veiws(especially ones that don't necessarily agree with mine)and nao/natsu seems interesting. i can totally see why people like this pairing. if there was no shizuru in hime or otome then these two i would most likley be a nao/natsu fan. once again good luck with the doujini and the website (looking forward to the site!)

shizuru/nao?! the idea never really occurred to me until coming across some lets say interesting fanart that i knida came across by accident-seriously it was a mistake i was looking for refrences for a drawing i was doing cause i suck at drawing arms but not hands for some reason..(way to young to really see the stuff in the fanart but, i already know about it anyway, oh well..... sweatdrop ) and nao is very interesting character. they could have done a lot more with her in hime(though i'm not a huge nao/natsu fan i'm not really to opposed to it wink biggrin )but yeah thats all i've gotta say for now.

On that site you can also see all my mai-hime collabs with mAni and random other art. Aside from the Mai-Hime/Otome art, everything else is several years old and not my best. I try to keep all my non-porn and original art on my portfolio site, so Luna Nera isn't really the best example of my work. sweatdrop
