Notes: All characters belong to CLAMP! I wrote this as a sample to join an RP somewhere... lol. So I decided to share it with you! Just a short drabble... Nothing really special.

Just because his name was Shizuka, did not mean that he did not see things going on. Sure, he was quiet, a man of few words, but he was also very observant. Very little escaped him, even when he was in the deepest concentration.

His Hakama made a light swooshing sound as he stepped up into the line of archers, bow in one hand, a quiver of arrow in the other. He placed the arrows on the ground in front of him, hearing the crowd cheering from the side-lines.

Out of the corner of his eye he scanned the crowd for his friends, and found Kunogi and a very agitated looking Watanuki sitting side by side. He wasn't surprised that Watanuki was there, even if he had yelled earlier about how busy he was and couldn't come to the archery meet. Because he was just Doumeki after all. Idiot. he probably agreed to come after Kunogi had said something similar to 'Wouldn't it be nice if we went together?'

He drowned out the sounds coming from the side and lifted a feathered arrow from the quiver in front of him. He brought the bow up, knocking the arrow. The other archers were doing the same, as he pulled back feathered arrow and string alike, holding them tightly in place.

And then all together each archer let their arrows fly. They soared towards the targets at high speed, each sticking deep into the target. The string slapped hard against the brown leather guard on his left hand, and he turned away before his arrow hit; knowing he would have hit dead center of the Bull's Eye.
