I know this subject may seem a bit...dramatic, but I've been wondering for a while about these two...voices in my heads that always argue. But before I tell you about them, let me tell you about myself. You see, in the past four, no, make that FIVE (including Kindergarten) grades of my life, I've been in an ordinary class, not an advanced one that I went to from 2006-2007. I've always been considered the "smart person" in my class, so it kinda...inflated my ego? ._____.; But in fifth grade, I attended an advanced class. I soon discovered that there were people smarter than me, and believe it or not (sarcasm), people better at drawing that I. The mind that was affected by those past five years soon drew away and a new one was created; the one that humbled itself all the time, and made itself thought that it was stupid, untalented, inferior. And throughout that very year, that new way of thinking (the one that thought it was inferior) soon dominated the space of my mind, and the voice of the former one soon started thinning.
And now that I've left elementary school last June, the two minds have become "equal." But you know what? They "argue" all the time. One time, I was playing tennis. And I sucked (at that time). So, the discouraged voice kept saying, You suck. You can't do anything. You know what? You got NO TALENT AT ALL. Don't even try. While the other voice said, Oi, don't listen to that voice. Listen to ME. You are teh MASTER at tennis, and you shall dominate! You KNOW you have talent, don't you? And the same thing goes with drawing. Discouraged Voice: You're not NEARLY as good as Vivian (a friend). In fact, all you can freaking draw is MANGA!! (which I specialize in). While the Narcissistic Personality Disorder voice says, No, don't listen to that voice! Don't you remember how much everyone respected you from Kindergarten to Fourth Grade? Your drawing is freaking awesome!!
A few weeks back, I believed that I had inferiority complex. But then I realized that other voice in my mind. So...WTF?! I HAVE TWO COMPLEXES?! And worse, THEY'RE THOUGHT TO BE OPPOSITES!! ...which sucks. So I need people to discuss about my two minds. This post is probably very confusing to you, but I feel like telling my problem to other people.

Well! It seems like I have that problem too. Whenever I have to make some kind of big decision, I find myself pacing around my room talking to myself. Like, arguing with myself out loud. And it'll go something like this: "Maybe I shouldn't do this, it's a really bad idea..." "Don't be an idiot! You have that kind of attitude you'll never get anywhere in life!" "I know, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. I'm pretty happy where I am..." "Well, what's going to happen anyways? Nobody's going to kill you for trying!" "I guess so, but..."
The overly confident voice tends to win most of the time. And the thing is, I don't even realize I'm talking to myself until after the argument is over.
*sigh*
Anyways, I know pretty much nothing about psychological disorders, so I really couldn't say if you have a split personality or not. All I know is all I've read on Wikipedia. sweatdrop

If you're that concerned about it, how about seeing a doctor instead of a bunch of kids on Gaia?

Huh... seams normal to me, but if it bothers you that much, why don't you talk to your parents? Really though, sometimes I feel stupid, and sometimes I feel smart. As long as you're not acting mental it doesn't seam like a problem. And you do seam to have very good grammer and diction for a sixth grader (or seventh?) and very good grammer for people on this site in general. My advicc-- there will always be people smarter than you, and there will always be people stupider than you so just be happy, and if you feel you need to improve at something, study, learn, and practice. The chances are very nearly impossible that you will ever be the most intelligent person in the world for two very profound reasons. The first reason is that there are so many different types of intelligence and different ways of evaluating these subtypes that it would be quite debatable who is actually the most intelligent. The second is that the chances of having equal of very nearly similar intelligence to another individual are, in my opinion, at least a little likely. So it may be possible that even the "smartest" person in the world (if there is/was one) that this person's intelligence could be equaled or matched by another individual in the past present or future.

Well, a lot of people have a voice they talk to themselves in their head with. I might be tempted to sat most everyone. Even deaf people sign to themselves. It would not be too much for an imaginative person to have two, if rather unusual. You still might want to talk to somebody. If you don't have *any* control of these voices its an issue. If these voices sound like someone talking to you out loud, not imaginary, its an issue. If, when the voices talk to you, you feel yourself beginning to take on the persona of one of these two, its an issue. Or, if you start "losing" time.
Anyway, I was really impressed with your clarity for someone as young as you. o_o Most kids on Gaia... sweatdrop

I'd say it's more of a case that you've given what most people think of as mere feelings a more specific way of affecting you. It's feelings that become thoughts, not the other way around. Everyone has the two "entities," if you will, ith their head: the Judge and the Victim. It's very possible to get rid of such things. I have nearly banished such feelings.

I don't think having split personalities is that uncommon. Everyone has different ways of acting and thinking depending where they are and whose with them. These changes are mainly unconscious.
As with having arguements with yourself, I do it too, almost all the time. When I catch myself thinking of something stupid, a voice always pops in to tell me how crazy I am. Not just arguements. I also figure out problems by pretending I'm different people with different perspectives. It helps me rationalize.
You are not crazy, unless your personalities start becoming more like Gollum and Smeagol (LOTR, sorry).

If you're a girl, that's called PMS.
Ha ha, just kidding. I think it's common to have a negative side and a positive side combatting each other in your mind. Especially when you're indecisive or unsure of yourself in the first place.

You have voices, not multiple personalities. Multiple personalities is when there are more than one fully distinct minds existing in one being. People with multiple personalities usually suffer from blackouts and lost time when the other personalities take over. They are unaware of the thoughts, feelings, and actions of the other minds. An exception to this is what is called a gate-keeper personality. The gate-keeper rarely takes over and usually just monitors the situation. Sometimes the gate-keeper can summon particular personalities to take over when the situation becomes something that the main personality cannot handle, hence the name "gate-keeper." Gate-keepers are usually only present in people who have fractured their consciousness into more than just 2 or 3 personalities.
Voices are sometimes a symptom of schizophrenia, but in the case of schizophrenia they are usually trying to get you to do, think, say, or believe things that you otherwise wouldn't. You are still the only personality, but the voices try to convince you to act differently.
It is possible to have voices without being schizophrenic. If you're really worried, talk to a psychologist. But as long as the voices remain benign it's nothing to worry about.

Uhm, why thank you? I have a few friends who are about the same age as me, and spell correctly, and have good grammer, like me. Yeah, I guess I have seen other preteens on Gaia who are...highly illiterate (spelling?). eek

You don't have MPD, just conflicting opinions about yourself. I think everyone is like that to a certain extent. I don't think you have something wrong with you. I think part of you just has low self-esteem, and your conscience is telling you that there's no reason to feel bad about yourself.

You seem to base your personal values on a curve by comparing yourself to others. Your problem seems to be competitiveness. Perhapse you have a parent/s that you can never seem to please?

I dont think you have actual different personalities. If anything your sctizophrensic. Do you actually hear the voices, or is it just in your head?
I probly murdered scitzofrensic with my spelling.
*gasp* I did it again.

You'd hardly have developed DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) because you were put in an advanced class and found out that other kids were smarter than you.
You're an imaginative kid and you have conflicting opinions in your head, just more vivid than most people might. It's not DID.
DID is caused, at least in part, by chronic abuse during early childhood. It ends up being diagnosed because the person loses chunks of time, finds things in their home that don't belong, etc. It is not hearing voices in your head.
Schizophrenia is also a lot more than simply hearing voices. Schizophrenia is paranoia, delusions, and hallucinations, and is usually co-morbid with depression and anxiety.
