Sahia is the land directly south of Laeray. It os near the east coast of a small gulf just off the main southern ocean. Most people wouldn't notice Sahia, as it is mostly underground, but those who do are liely not interested enough to venture that far south.Sahians after 50 years Sahians: Though they officially follow the Sahia, the line of Sahians originated by Apollo, one of the first Sahians, They worship Roet. The Sahians are a fair-skinned, short(standing usually about 5 feet) people who pride themselves in their ability to do most things well, even if they aren't the best. Hunting, mining, farming, crafting, etc... they can do all of it, but nothing truly perfectly. Culture: The Sahians are particularily skilled at digging and building, but they prefer to dig their cities rather than build them. Roet taught them that above ground they were vulnerable. They learned that lesson well, and have had most of thei buildings underground since then, though they have always had a tall wall around what was their original Garden, and have never built anything outside that boundary(not including digging). Their clothing has progressed greatly, and they now wear a multitude of things. Hunters, though there are many, are rarely seen because they wear deer skins and the sort. They also coat themselves with mud so that they can almost literaly disappear. the 'common folk' that stay in the city and underground areas usually wear simple, cotton clothing and knee-high leather boots with similar gloves, often with some variations. There some Sahians, yet, who wear armor. Naturally this is the army. They are a small, fierce army(Think the spartans, but weaker and with different armor). Lastly, there are the Royal guard. Five men and women who wear armor smithed similar to Roet's, smithed by himself two 'levels' below the earth. It took him three years per suit. Most Sahians, females included, wear their hair short. Technology: The Sahians try to find the easiest way to do things before trying more than a few times the hard way. Their tools are made of stone or very basic metals. The Sahians try not to rely on trade too greatly, but are often found trading services for more well-made variations of what they already have. Ideology: The Sahians believe the Exiles to be gods, no matter how many times Roet has told them otherwise. Roet insists that the people follow the leading Sahia's orders, yet if Roet asked them to strip nude and run through Ember's land, they willingly would.

Roet skidded to a halt outside the wall of Sahia. he walked through the gate and was immediatly greeted by several scouts wearing their leather armor as they walked out. They almost instantly disappeared in the tall grass. Roet continued into one of the houses. he looked down the hole in the ground, then climbed down the ladder. several men there were working on a sword. he stopped them and grabbed the sword. it was well made, by Sahian standards. it had a properly shaped blade and had an ornate "S" carved into the pommel. He looked up, "Who commisioned this oto be made?" The armorer looked confused, "Sir, you did. Three months ago, your sword was getting very dull, more and more quickly. You told us to make as good a sword as we could. If ity isn't good enough, we could-" Roet cut the man off, "No need, no need, it is certainly a fine weapon. It slipped my mind, and I wasn't expecting this good..."
The man seemed to sweat in relief, but Roet knew that he had been working hard. It was oddly hot in this particular part of the tunnels with all the furnaces running. Roet took off his cuirass and dropped it beside the man's anvil, "Watch my armor for me, and see if you can't work on this sword," he gestured to the sword he had had with him, "it's been in need of a few days work for some time now." The man took the older shortsword and handed Roet the grand blade. Roet belted the scabbard to his waist as he pulled on some older, rougher clothes.
When he had those on, he set off down into the mine. The mines had taken the better part of twenty years to create, even with Roet helping. Even then, when the mines deep in the ground had been made, there was very little metal to be worked. when found, every miner would work for a few weeks to get every drop of iron that they could. There usually wasn't much.
Roet turned down a side passage and almost ran into a figure holding an armload of hammers. "John? that you?" Roet said, trying to discern the figure as the man stopped. John looked up, startled by Roet's presence. "Oh, milord, hello. How are you?" Roet shrugged, "I've been better, but I do have a rather wonderful new sword, so that's always good." John smiled, "Of course. but I do need to deliver these to the armorers, so if you will..." Roet stepped aside and let the man go on. There was something about John that Roet liked...

Salus sat. Salus sat a lot. It seemed as though there was nothing else to do... it was boring. What was royalty for, if not to do something? Salus sat up. She had an idea. She turned to one of the Royal Guards that kept her so well protected against the non-existant danger, "Has General Roet returned yet?" The guard, Cathrine, nodded. Salus stood up and ran towards the tunnel entrance in her throne room. she dropped down the ladder and carefully picked up her staff. it was a very special staff. As long as she had this staff, she was proven to be the Sahia. she climbed the ladder quickly and walked to the door. Cathrine followed. Marcus, one of the other guards, followed aswell. three trio walked down to one of the houses and Salus climbed down, closely followed by her guards. this was a seldom used passage that led straight to Roet's "house". He had chosen to be humble and take a low-quality house in the middle of the underground tunnels. When she arrived at Roet's back entry to his house, she opened the door cautiously and pushed the door open as soon as she saw that Roet was elswhere.
Salus Sahia looked around the 'house', quickly finding that his armor was elswhere aswell. She swore loudly and exited through the front door. Here, people were bustling around and going about their business. they were too busy to stop and greet any of them, but that was how it was at Sahia: get your job done, go see the leader, go to bed. simple as that. Salus saw the door she was looking for and walked in that general direction, Marcus leading. she opened the door and quickly climbed one of the ladders up. "That was rather pointless." Marcus said as he climbed. he didn't like climbing the ladders...

Roet walked into the most recent mine. It seemed as though they had hit a small amount of a metal that they hadn't had before. he looked at a small sample that one of the miners held out to him. he looked at the stone. there were trace amounts of what appeared to be copper, but there was also a metal he hadn't seen much of before. There was gold in this stone. He raised it to just above eye level, "We could use this gold. Mine as much as you can, carefully." Roet picked up one of the pickaxes form nearby and walked to the stones still embedded in the wall. there was plenty of copper, but hardly any gold. He raised the axe and started cutting away what he could...

It had felt like a few hours. Only about two hours, anyway, when a few miners walked in. Roet turned to them for a fews seconds, then broke into a wide smile, "Che check this out!" he said, raising a stone with the gold on it, "This can be made into jewelry and whatnot of all sorts!" the men seemed happy that they could make something better than iron at last.
Roet handed one of the men his pickaxe, "I have some other things to do. all I ask is that you be very, very, careful. it's not exactly stable, and I think there are Ferites nearby. The men sighed in unison at the sound of the word "Ferites". Ferites destroyed entire mines. Roet stll didn't know how to get rid of the blasted creatures. it was really a pity.

Roet walked into his house and dropped his armor into a chest at the foot of his bed. He immediatly grabbed the amulet at his neck and turned it over, calling the Craftsman. Roet, while waiting for he Craftsman, reached down and grabbed his cuirass. he took a damp cloth and did his best to wipe some of the dirt off of it. He just hoped the Craftsmen would be willing to 'lend' him a container made of true ore. or was it white ore? Roet couldn't remember. it made little difference...
(Stann, I need one Craftsman to go...)

"Yes, Roet?"
The Craftsman did not come in person. Only his voice came. It seemed to whisper through the trees and the grass outside, and in between everything around Roet. Aside from that the room seemed to grow considerably darker, as if the presence of the Craftsman weighed heavily on the world.
"Apologies, but I'm in the middle of something and I must be brief." The voice rose to something that resembled a low moan. There was a lull in the motion of the air for a few moments before a cool gust of wind invaded the room once more.
"I may not be here physically but I assure you that I am listening and listening wholeheartedly. What can I do for you, Roet?"

Roet looked up from his armor, which was now shining quite nicely, "Ah, Craftsman. I wish to ask of you something important. I would like to know if you would be so kind as to 'lend' me a small container made of True Ore so that I may begin constructing with it. If there is anything I can do that will 'help' you say yes, please state it." Roet's eyes seemed to be speaking to the shadows, hough he though he may have seen the form of the Craftsman in there. He still didn't know exactly where to look...
