My friend recently asked me if you had to do a ritual to show your dedication to Satan.
I didn't really know how to answer her. I'm a Traditional Satanist, but I'm still new to it.
She was directing the question towards Traditional Satanism, but anyone is free to answer.

you can if you want, if you do its pretty much just because you feel like it....
personally i havent done one and probably never will lol

because I thought what matters is if you're truly dedicated.
I wasn't sure, because she heard it was required.

The only "requirement" to being any denomination of Satanist is common sence. Any Dedication Ritual should be just that; a ritual to show ones dedication. I've heard of Iniitiation Rituals, but those are rare and to my understanding, not reallyrequired.
