Mercenaries

Although the Matron wasn't a Mercenary, she is the one to bestow this class upon the selective few. She loathes Mercenaries more than any other class in the Class System. It's not to be taken personally though, for she doesn't use it against the class members.

Be aware though. You'll be working alone most of the time. You have no intended meaning for our clan with this class. We shall protect you when you call for us, but you must keep your honor to the clan and help them when YOU are called.

This class has no titles or subclasses. It is cut off from the rest of the clan. There are no Captains or Vice Captains. It's a detached class because the Matron doesn't enjoy clanmembers avoiding help for the clan. But, it's at your decision to take this path.

Please keep this at mind though. You will most likely work alone. You can join other clans and help them. But if you dare betray this clan with your foolish thoughts of power, in an instance, you will face the wrath of the Matron herself. She hates to do this to her own clansmen, but she is a monster when she needs to be.

Oh, and welcome to the class. I hope you've made the decision to join this class.

And always remember what I've told you about this class...

A Mercenary, Alone and Always at Work

As a mercenary, you're always on the job. You have missions to other clans, this one included. Your loyalty remains to this clan, and you MUST always come when the clan calls. If you don't have a good reason not to, you shall be in trouble.

Your responsibilities belong to your own decision. If you intend to help this clan, then do so, but don't expect anything. If you help other clans, you may or may not get something out of it. But, you'll be doing it alone most of the time. Other classes don't look for a mercenary, it's not even on their list for group members.

The Mercenary position is always open. But, it's mostly ignored and never seen. Clansmen try to avoid a mercenary for they say it's bad luck to the unification of this clan. But, you are always in the clan's embrace, even if its a grip tight bond.

At the Call of the Service

We allow you to leave on your own with a loose leash from the Service. We aren't here to hold you down, so you are free to do as you wish. You have no Captain, thus you are allowed to do anything at your on whim, even if it means dire consequences.

But, if the clan calls for your services, you must instantly oblige. From the instant you joined this clan, you promised to help us as we help you. Thus, you must follow.

If you ignore our call, you won't be kicked out of the clan, but shunned by the clansmen. You'll be in the gossip as the a*****e (Yes, the Matron curses.) who ignored the clan. Don't take it as harassment, take it honorably. Of course, it's the internet, but words can hurt.

Oh, and clan, please don't break the Service Law. No matter how true of an a*****e the Mercenary was.

Anyway, just try to help us when we need you. That's all.
