Banjoko had hid himself in the foliage of the jungle outside the Unity Walkers land, wanting to be alone. That lioness he had run into had said some things that were difficult to hear. Even though she had a point, the young male still wanted to continue on his intended journey. He felt it was destiny.

Flopping onto the ground under a leafy bush, Banjoko argued with himself. The most pressing point the lioness had made was this: What if their father didn't want him? He would have left a happy home to find a male who didn't want hin. He thought long and hard about his choices. He was standing at a fork in the road of his life, and this decision would change his life.

Hours passed, and Banjoko eventually came to a slow realization. Even if his father didn't want him, Banjoko had to try to find him anyway. He was too restless to stay in this pride - the great wide world, with all its wonders, was calling him. The journey alone would be worth it if his father ended up not wanting him.

Slowly standing up, Banjoko felt emotionally drained, and yet also filled with a new excitement. He could leave, right now, no one was stopping him this time. But yet he still felt like something held him back...

Tia. His sister. He did not want to leave without at least saying goodbye. She was his blood, after all. The father he was going to find was hers, as well. He cared about her, even though they did not usually get along too well.

She was usually around here, Banjoko thought, as his yellow eyes scanned the trees. He refrained from calling her name, remembering the last time he did and how that ended up. But he looked in the treetops, wondering, hoping to find her soon. He would not tarry long.

Tia was far from niave or oblivious. She had known her brother wanted to find their father...he had always been interested in him. Perhaps it was their biggest gap of opinion; Banjoko admired him while Tia had a great resentment for the parental figure who had never bothered to be part of their life. If she wanted to see him, it would only be to needle him about his neglectfulness and get some personal satisfaction.

But that didn't change that her brother would be leaving. It was so obvious and though she was a bit more underhanded then her sibling at times, she did care for him. Blood always ran true in the end, did it not? She crawled along a branch, her claws digging expertly into the wood. She had been traveling by tree for some time now and finally she had spotted her target, so to speak.

"Tia! C'mon, I know you can hear me." He sighed and shrugged. Normally by now he would have given up trying to find her - if Tia didn't want to be found, then she couldn't be found. But today he was determined. There was no way that Banjoko would leave his sister without at least saying goodbye. Who knows if they would meet again? If they met again. Which isn't to say Banjo didn't plan on returning some day...but who knows what could happen out in there in the wide world?

"I know you're up there somewhere, Tia'fitna. Can you please just come down here a minute? I won't take much of your precious time. It's important." Feeling silly, Banjoko called out his words to the seemingly empty jungle. She was there, probably laughing at him...or waiting to drop something on his head. He didn't care today, however. Let her do what she wanted...it was the last time she would be able to mess with him for a while. He could handle it.

Stubbornly, he sat down on the jungle floor and waited for her response.

Tia was always amazed that he couldn't find her. It wasn't like she was green or anything. Often she thought her "hiding places" were obvious and that only made her roll her eyes more when he was unable to spot her. Another difference between them. Sighing inwardly she stretched and jousled the branch purposefully and called out to him, "Perhaps, brother dear, you need your eyes checked?" she asked, her voice her usual mask of innocence as she leaned forward slightly to get a better look at him on the ground below.

Banjoko's eyes shot up to the place where her voice floated down to him and immediately latched onto her orange pelt. Finally! "I see you now. Game's over," Banjoko called wearily. "Can't you come down?"

For a brief moment he considered going up after her, but then he remembered the last time he had tried that and decided against it. If she didn't want to come down and speak to him...so be it. He would just leave, sister or no sister. It's not like she really cared anyway. She'd probably be glad he was leaving.
