Episode 130 and up show all...it has to be Itachi, he even admits it to Kisame in Shipuuden and Asuma and Kureni even state it. 3nodding

I was bored. And also, some people say that when Itachi used the Tsukiyomi on Sasuke when he was a kid, Sasuke got up and ran away. But when Itachi used the Tsukiyomi on him at the hotel Sasuke was put into a coma. So that wasn't Itachi that killed the clan. Because how could 1 Sharingan user kill a whole clan of Sharingan users? Also, I myself am neutral on this subject.

Also, I myself am neutral on this subject. Simple, place them all into his Mangakyou Sharingan, the torture realm, and kill them off with his katana when they're in this stunned state. Although it would of taken all afternoon and night, that's why his eyes must have become so weak to use, if he uses sharingan for too long he can go blind.

From what I can gather, Itachi did kill off his clan but on the orders of Konoha's council. Basically, the Uchiha were megalomanic psychos who were planning on overthrowing the government of Hi no Kuni and the Council weren't going to have that so they sent their prodigy to eliminate the threat. So really, Itachi was just following orders and sacrificed a lot for his village. Of course, to disgrace a clan that pwerful would be a bad idea so he copped it.
And after finding out that Itachi sacrificed everything to save konoha, what does he try and do? DESTROY IT!

It's been shown. now, that he did kill the clan. However, he had help, and he did it under orders. So thus, he kinda isn't at fault.

Akatsuki no Kaosu Who thinks that Itachi really did kill his own clan? yeah he did, but it was an order to do it by the Konohagakure. kinda sad really. I dont think i could do it if i was him.

Finally XD well if u read the manga u guys would have known more.......Itachi was a double spy. he gave info to both sides. but in the end he got orders to kill his clan. b4 he did he ask the thrid hokage if he could protect sasuke. thats y itachi came bak to konoha becuz he needed to no how his brother since the hokage died. since u said he got help that also was true. The help he got was one who was in the same clan as Itachi. His name is Tobi. But there are people out there that say that he's Madara Uchiha but recently they're saying that Tobi is Obito Uchiha. Itachi and Sasuke's Cousin and Kakashi teammate and friend who he got his Shardingan from. His hair is as spiky as Obito as well as the mask (a peep hole on the right eye becuz his left eye was taken out) also his nickname. Tobi = Obito. How he survive well i heard that Zetsu was his mentor and probably was there when the cave collapse crushing his right body. And saved him b4 the rocks above crushed him completely. Im not sure wat episode that was wen Sasori was already dead and Zetsu come to that area looking for his ring with Tobi. He called Tobi a good boy y? I don't remember but there's plenty of video's on youtube wen u type tobi obito.
