Really depends on what kind of "cool", I guess. They're very similar characters as far as emotions and stuff, but very different in action. Personally, I prefer Squall, because the Gunblade is ******** awesome.

Squall is the better of the two..in my opinion. Their attitudes are quite similar, but Squall seems 'cooler' to me especially with that oh so uber-cool Gunblade of his. Also, belts, fur, and leather are a whole lot better than some weird purple uniform.

I have always refrained from asking myself this question for fear that my head would explode. However...
I've gotta say Squall. Because he doesn't wear dresses.
*can't think of a better reason*
Ohh, but Cloud's got all that Jenova stuff going on, while Squall's just kind of a regular person, however cool he acts...
No, no, I'm sticking with Squall. He just seems cooler.

I've only really properly played 8 and just watched Advent children
but nevertheless, squall gets my vote biggrin

hmmmmm , it is a difficult descisin to make. Squall is cool in his own way, and Cloud is cool in his own way. Two totaly different kinds of cool. They tie in my book.

Ok, I'd go with Squall, although Cloud's in close thrid (Tidus is second). I like Squall best because one, GUNBLADE. Who doesn't love that. Two, in comparsion to Cloud he seems just a little bit more cheerful(not much). And three, I think he's cuter.....and not, I haven't freaky fan-girl-ish obsession yet.
lol, you can disregaurd that last one if you want.

Hmm... They're both really cool, but my favorite would have to Squall.
FFVIII was the first FF I've ever played, and Squall's loner-attitude was awesome! Also, Gunblade>Buster Sword (but hey, that's just me.)
