We could hold a battle royale in the forums, or singular battles, for a small price. They pay an entry fee, and check out our forums, and fight either each other or us, and the winner gets something in return.(unless we are challenged, and win, we get nothing)

Not sure i fully understand what you mean. Do you mean that we have our active members go and fight in the regular forums, and then tell people who want to come in about our guild?

no, what we do is post in the forums about it, then as ppl look and start to become interested, we let them know about the guild and such. a fighting tournament sponsored by the guild pretty much. then winners are chosen so on and so forth. and the thing i said about our members was we could be challenged if someone from outside knew us or just wanted to fight, but we wouldn't get the prizes if we won, they'd go to the runner ups.

Now i see what you mean. Hold a tournament, in the name of the guild, with a prize, as an advertisement of the guild. Good thinking Dae, when i finish helping you with your quest, and get some money, ill hold the tournament.

The guild comes first, besides, the item i want is still like 28k away. it'll take too long to get that much cash. go ahead with the tourney, i can wait, i like the plasma sword anyway xp

An excellent Idea but just one small suggestion. I feel as though if you were to hold a miscellaneous RP tournament and encouraged lots of random people to join you might attract alot of god moders set on winning. To avoid this a simple suggestion would be to have one or more adjudicators or a simple dice system.
Dice systems in particular can be very successful because they remove any kind of god moding or bias.
Here is a Simple system If your Interested
Each players have 10 health
Both players roll a D10(10 sided dice) the player who roles the highest is P1
P1 makes attack - Rolls D10 (10 sided dice)
P2 makes defensive action - Rolls D10
If P1, the attacker rolls higher than P2, the defender then P2 takes damage equal to the amount the P2 beat him by. If P2 rolls higher then no damage is taken. If a 1 is rolled by either player then they take a point of damage.
P2 makes attack - Rolls D10
P1 makes defensive action - Rolls D10

Good Idea Lucius Alivantio. Ill look into making a guild advertisement thread, set up a tournament with probably 8 slots, including 2 or 3 for members. First i need to make an interesting thread, and second i need to get a prize worthy of such a thing.
